Was hoping this one wouldn’t come off. Really don’t like the idea of us being tempted to default back to 5-3-2 and what happened to the Colchester lad?

Pure hunch but can see this being a very good signing. Playing for Sampdoria in the top Italian league is a step up from the championship.
With his high work rate should have all the attributes to thrive for us,

We will use it for certain games as Neil said. And this guy is a jack of all trades type and every club needs them |

Or he’ll be the anchor on the right hand side to support Hoever’s forward runs. And he’ll be a key part of the press. This makes sense given he seems very Brownish. Don't think you can say that any more. |

It puts a hard worker in front of Hoever to make 532 less necessary but also gives flexibility when a change of shape is needed. |

With his high work rate should have all the attributes to thrive for us, It probably doesn't seem the most exciting of signings, but I think it'll be based on his running/tackling stats. He appears to be energetic if nothing else, and if we are playing with a tempo/high press, he seems perfect for it. |

Suppose it's a bit early to say until we see how we intend to use him. Where would he theoretically fit into the right-sided pecking order with Campbell (if he stays), Chiquinho and Jojic? Is he a genuine option to play RB in a 4 or RWB in a 5? And does it mean we won't be looking for another right-sided defender? Any chance, even, of any midfield minutes? All will presumably be revealed shortly. |

The more I read about him the more I think he’ll be competition for DJ, playing in the ‘smallbone’ role leading the press! Maybe this is why Onamah hasn’t signed! He’ll also have game time in the wide areas and potentially as an 8 too!
