Remains to be seen if Ryan has knuckled down & is willing to work his socks off for the Club, or if it is just hot air & pre season waffle being aimed at us all

Said all the right things, sounds like he’s determined to set it right after his tiff with Schuey, looked decent last night with his link up play albeit didn’t get many goals. Stoke fans don’t like him though because he doesn’t run around like a headless chicken You mean he shows very little hunger, application, determination or aggresssion on the pitch. Technique is pretty worthless without it and vice versa. I no more want a player who can run all day but is hopeless with a football (Jacob Brown type) than someone who has good technique but has non of the attributes at the beginning of this post. If I had to chose one I’d say the runner is marginally less frustrating but very marginally. There’s nothing worse than watching someone who seems to have little enthusiasm or takes little enjoyment from playing the game. It’s clear Mmaee doesn’t like the combativeness of the English game. He needs to man up or fuck off because it won’t change for him.

Manager already confirmed he won’t be fit for start of pre season Blimey. So that's Pearson and Mmaee on the treatment table when the season begins and pre-season training is less than a week old 😲 This was before pre season, same as Pearson tbf.

Yep, although my post read like that I wasn't implying pre-season was to blame. More lamenting just how early it is to be racking up injuries we will be taking in the season proper.

I definitely missed him looking decent last season. A few nice touches goes a real long way with some folk.

It was his first season in English football. He also had a few niggling injuries which mustn’t have helped him. You could clearly see the talent he had in the Watford and Brum games (to name a few) I get that goals are the most important stat when it comes to strikers but imo, he’ll come good next season if he stays injury free and isn’t involved in any arguments with the coaching staff

Personally i dont think he is suited to Englands second tier at all , he lacks all the attributes required as basis , physicality , aggression. , mobility , he is not really good at anything. , and i think next season will simply drift by as the last one did

If he's a major player for us next season I can only see another very poor season. Given our lack of striking options I'm content for him to stay and try to prove me wrong but if he's part of the first 11 at the start of the season I fear the consequences.

If there’s one player I’d love to succeed and shut some of you lot up it’s him🔴⚪️ Yes apart from his mid-season spat which appeared to have been cleared up, I fail to see what he did that was so awful. So he was surprised with the intensity and frequency of matches but that doesn't make him an awful player and his best games were towards the end of the season which indicates that he was adapting. He cost peanuts for a stiker, isn't on a huge wage, yet some would get rid and pay millions for a big lump with little skill because at least he would add some physicality if not goals. I am excited to see what he, Bae, Million and Cundle or equivalent can produce this season and looking forward to them tying the average Championship defenders in knots because they can't cope with their movement and quick one touch passes.

Could have asked him about his relationship with the manager after being frozen out last season, that's all i wanted to know I imagine Mmaee would have made it very clear before the start of the interview he would not be answering any questions on the fallout with Schuey.

Who are these players exactly? Harwood Bellis is one, JPB another. There are others if you do a quick google. Seems a bit early to say they’ve gone on to bigger and better things both were championship players last season nobody knows how they’ll do in the prem. Neither were universally disliked everyone is never going to like any player don’t think either of them had any treatment as you put it some people didn’t rate them. I liked one but not the other. Thought you had something more significant in mind like maybe Joselu who was a complete failure in England at two clubs.

They’ve done better though, I’m not saying they’ve gone on to top level but have had better league finishes at least. And in terms of treatment that’s subjective, but at some point almost every player has been criticised on here, rightly or wrongly but criticised nonetheless.
