Apparently looked really good. Had a couple chances getting forward from midfield. Lot of people in the match thread saying sign him already Play him again v Everton first perhaps? Probably will. But wouldn't be surprised if they just offered him a contract. Already had other championship interest and interest from europe according to that Mike McGrath guy. Might be worth not messing around and just doing it. |

Not sure Celina had 31 then 20 games in 2 Championship promotion sides relatively recently though? I haven’t watched tonight so I’m judging him on his Fulham career. A bloody good midfielder with good pedigree at this level. True. I assume that’s why he is on trial, to see if he can play at the highs he seemed capable of before the knee injury. I think he’s worth the gamble tbh. It’s clear he’s pretty happy with the midfield but it does need an extra body. And if he can reach that level again then we have a player. Was he injured a lot last season? Tbh I had no idea he was at Preston 🤣 |

On their forum they seem to think he used them for fitness and apparently rejected their offer of a full contract. I imagine Gallagher had something do with him being here. I said yesterday I remember watching him for Fulham and there was a game where he absolutely ran the show from midfield. Still young enough he just needs to settle somewhere I think. |

from what i saw it them first 45 mins he certainly is worth a contract. won most things in the air if not all, chased and closed down, had a few good attacks forward too!

If he can stay fit, then perhaps he’ll get back to that level. It is the same predicament as Powell though. Ideally, I’d like to see us bring in someone better than Laurent as well, in case Onomah falls to pieces in his first few games. |

He’s a big lad too which helps as we don’t have the worlds most physical midfield. Would help with second balls etc in the air too. |

Could see he had a touch of quality, which never seems to have been in doubt throughout his career. It's the uglier stuff that's supposedly been his problem.
You'd like to see him against slightly better opposition. There must be a decent chance of something being offered for things to get this far though. Gallagher must have spoken up for him.

I thought they had to be 17? At least, there used to be some sort of age restriction for loans. Practically, it has to be somewhere close. They won’t have a car and they won’t likely be earning decent money either. It would be challenging for anyone at that age to just step out and play elsewhere. Perhaps Crewe would be a good idea, if they need him/he’d play. |

Let's have it right. I hated the way Pulis operated etc but the dogs home signings of that era just about summed us up.
Onomah is very much a dogs home signing and exactly the type of player that tends to do well here. He'll aggravate the fans for sure but I've got a good feeling about this one and have done since it emerged he was here.

Celina looked great against Stevenage as well. Awful in the Championship though. It seems like he’s making the most of his opportunity though and if he accepted the idea of a trial before signing, he’s evidently not going to cost much either.
