Disappointing that Jojic only on the bench, has he been injured?

Yup. This week said it all. Subbed off less than 30 mins into a game against Stone Old Alleynians, then sub tonight.

I was under the impression Jojic was producing in the U21s but I have been asking for some time now why he isn't getting the same opportunities that Bae is considering they are of a similar age. I suppose if you're playing against some really shit players anyone can look good.

Weird signing. Bizzare almost How he got past Ricky’s 5 pillars I’ll never know. He’s also only a young man moving to England for the first time and trying to become accustomed to life here + the language. Hopefully, he makes a lot of gains in the summer.

Shawcross was in charge in last weeks game in the Staffs cup. Morris was in charge of the U21 at Derby on friday according to the club website. I wonder if due to the amount of U18s in the team Shawcross getting some experience coaching them.

Shows how hard it is for a young lad to even go and play men’s north west counties football.
Even as an 18 year old the step into men’s football at that level is a big one

I was at the game and the lads did well in possession especially in the first half playing against a mens team who have gone 19 games unbeaten. It’s a totally different approach to the games they are used to but hopefully will give them a bit more learning which is what entering these cups means. Well done to Josh and his Leek team.

I was at the game and those young lads really impressed me! They were just far superior all over the pitch to Leek with their passing, movement and ability to come away with the ball in every situation! The first half I counted 4 stray passes from them, and Sidibe was mustard! In fact I don't think any of those youngsters looked out of place against a very good Leek side and would go as far to say that most would more than shine at that level

Even as an 18 year old the step into men’s football at that level is a big one It’s also why teams like Barcelona B constantly develop such talent. Yes, they have the top picks but they also have a team playing in the Spanish third division against men week in, week out. When a kid does well, they get moved up the age groups. It’s kind of nonsense that this just stops when they turn about 18 for most of the players at Stoke.

In fact I don't think any of those youngsters looked out of place against a very good Leek side and would go as far to say that most would more than shine at that level But they lost? Despite their dominance of possession in the first half Stoke didn't really create many clear chances against a very disciplined Leek defence. Dino Visser made a brilliant double save but apart from that there was a shot from Sol Sidibe which went narrowly wide. Leek's attacks were few and far between with Blondy a virtual spectator. The second half started much the same way and Stoke came very close when Tom Sparrow's shot was cleared off the line. After that Leek were far less passive, stepped up a gear, got much tighter to the Stoke players and started to have the better of the play. They created a string of good chances and forced a number of corners. From one corner Tim Grice had a header cleared off the line by a Stoke defender. Another corner found ex Stokie Julius Ndene whose header was deflected into the net by Freddie Anderson for an og. After that the Stoke players lost their discipline and gave away a string of free kicks which Leek were in no hurry to take. In the end Leek managed the game out comfortably. Really good performances from the all the Leek players especially right back Liam Buckley who I thought was absolutely outstanding.

Jades Dixon started for England u17s in a 5-1 win.
A Vale player scored 2 of the 5 as well.
