Really keen for Tezgel, Lowe, Okagbue and Baker to form part of the squad next year. Lowe/Tezgel have shown they are better than Wesley/Gayle type signings and the defenders the same over Clark.

How has Baker got on at Newport? I've got a few friends over in Newport and their feedback has been positive, not necessarily as positive as Taylor got at Rovers mind, but he's played a decent amount of games for a team that's got an outside chance of play offs. We've had some decent reserve defenders in Taylor and Forrester recently, neither better than Rose, but both who would have been good squad options for very little brass. |

U21’s through to the semi final of the Staffs Senior Cup after a 3-2 win tonight.
Semi will be away to Leek Town.
Good experience for the boys

They are in about division 9 or so, right? This is why I believe it’s vital to have these kids sent out to play for a month or two each season at progressively better leagues (from 7/8 up). In a month, they can begin to learn quicker what it takes to play against men. They can then come back to their coaches and discuss before getting integrated back into the U21s with some new experience. The dropout rates in the U21’s is ridiculous across football. Surely, there has to be a way to improve that? |
