Seems a good solid signing at this level, the manager knows and trusts him as he does Pearson. I sense more that this season will be about making the squad more solid , hopefully there will be one or two more and maybe loan players that if they work can give us an extra dimension but overall move at least to mid-table and then be seen as more attractive for players looking to win promotion .

AN seems to be getting the players he wants , which suggests we are competitive in the wages / terms we are offering .
Lots of reasons to believe AN wanted , Rose , DJ and Pearson signed up for a while and now they are .
Two year deals seem canny for players pushing 30
If we can get a quality keeper in, I will be borderline optimistic for this season .
If we can get a youngish ( say 25 ish ) decent target man as well , I will be really looking forward to the season .

Very pleased with this signing. Excellent on the press, a very good technical player who makes chances and lays off the ball for those around him, and can cover in DM when required. For me he's an upgrade on Powell and Smallbone. He could be a bit more physically imposing, but overall a great catch on a free.

They're decent Championship players who are welcome additions to our team/squad. Etherington was also an “old-school” left winger. When I say winger here, I mean winger, not wide-forward. Players like Etherington aren’t that common anymore. He was a chalk on the boots winger. He wasn’t a central midfielder 😂 |

He seems like a good lad.
There's a lot of stamina in the midfield now, can't see us winning many first or second balls from goal kicks though. Not enough aerial challenge.

No, that starting 3 in midfield is nowhere near good enough if there’s any hope or strife to be aiming towards top 6.
Pearson walks into most teams, I fully believe that.
Laurent far too 50/50. Was fantastic in the run of 6 good games last season, but then disappeared for the remainder of the season. And albeit injured, the first half of the season was the same story.
DJ a good signing but it’d be underwhelming if he was the starting advanced midfielder. Like I said though, good signing and certainly makes the squad better.
