Almost certain bullshit Turkish reports about Fenerbahce wanting Tezgel. It wouldn't be a transfer window without Turkish nonsense They’d want him on loan. They don’t buy.

There’s some decent teams in it. I think some may not repeat their successes of this season where they’ve over performed but the 3 coming down are big clubs and I’d be surprised if 2 didn’t go straight back up. They’re bigger clubs than the 3 going up. Realistically we’ll do well to get into the top 10.

Depends which way we get out of it. It won't be too hard to go the League 1 route.

Heading into June with essentially a handful of players and an absent coaching team.
Sounds like all the academy staff is being moved on. Cousins has left. First team coaches have quit.
It’s looking like a huge mess.
Failure to bring a Head of Recruitment in as of yet is underwhelming.
Expect this summer spending to be spearheaded by none other than a manager who has so far been incredibly underwhelming.
And the two loan players folk unanimously wanted to keep - Ben Pearson and Dujon Sterling - don’t seem remotely interested in joining.
This could get dirty.

Given that we are having to recruit a whole team this summer, it's unfortunate that we haven't yet got in place all the people who will be involved in said recruitment isn't it March? Doesn't bode well

Released by Coventry:
Fankaty Dabo, Julien Dacosta, Todd Kane, Sean Maguire, Michael Rose, Martyn Waghorn and Tyler Walker.
Dabo always looks like a decent right back.......

Given that we are having to recruit a whole team this summer, it's unfortunate that we haven't yet got in place all the people who will be involved in said recruitment isn't it March? Doesn't bode well The leader is in charge of recruitment, so that post is of little concern to me. If it was me, I’d scrap it completely and appoint a chief scout. I hope we have sufficient coaches when the players return to pre-season training. That would be a concern if we didn’t but I think AN likes to do much of the coaching himself. I’m not really bothered about the underage teams at this stage of the year. Plenty of time to be sorted. If we were going to have the massive overhaul the majority of fans have been demanding, now is exactly the time to do it I would suggest.

I agree and I don't March Yes it is the managers job to recruit and I would advocate that. I though like many are a bit concerned, we are needing in the region of 10-12 new players. We need 6 new coaches from under 18's right through to Neil's assistants to coach these 10 players plus our already 10 in the building The they need time to bed in, get to know one another and start playing as a team and we have around 9 weeks for all this to happen in readiness. In honestly it doesn't look great When I listened to some of the Luton players, they had been there years and they knew the club inside and out, they would run through brick walls for each other, we dont even have those players, so a huge turnaround is an awful lot to expect. I do agree though we have had 7 years of decline and the club need to act but i'm worried we are throwing the baby out with the bathwater, for instance the under 18's and academy is the one area we have been strong, without Souttar's, Collins and Bursik's money where woudl we be right now. for me AN needs to concentrate on first team matters and let Rooster do what hes no doubt been very good at My opinion is its a mistake to give the manager too much power, we should have a DoF, coaches and technical director all set up and the manager should work with them so each can specialise in each field and not leave it all to the manager, as if it doesn't work out we are back to square one

If true that we offered 6-figures for him in Jan, could be one we look to on a free transfer after his release? The tweeter seems to be a well-known Cov figure

He's claiming the offer was nudging £1m.
If true, presumably in a mad scramble for available players, post-Souttar?
But if it is true, you think Neil would take him in a heartbeat if he was convinced to put that fee down for someone 6 months away from becoming a free

I think we need to strap ourselves in for a long and difficult summer. I don't think it's going to be as easy as some of us think it is.

Let's not pretend we're some kind of cracked badge crisis-club. We're going to be an attractive proposition for plenty of players given what we can pay.

Seems to be a ball player, rather than a big monster.
Some others suggesting he was offered a deal by Cov, but turned it down. Maybe Big Al and Tricky Ricky have been whispering in his shell-like?

www.lancs.live/sport/football/transfer-news/preston-north-end-contracts-johnson-27022487Preston North End expect to learn where they stand with their four out-of-contract players this week. LancsLive has been told that none of the quartet have rejected their offers as things stand, with talks expected this week in order to establish the players' firm positions. The major contract saga is over Johnson, whose eight year stay at Deepdale could come to an end - with reported interest from overseas and speculation regarding a reunion with Alex Neil at Stoke City.

Honestly think we could end up linked with well over 100 players this summer Must be about 20 names, in public, linked already factor in the many many more players who we don't have any reported links to but have enquiries about, going to be bonkers

A lot of pressure on the leader in this system. AN simply has to get it right.
