I defended him last match but hoof, he's been uber wank versus a terrible side today so far. Some of his crosses looked worse than a goalkeeping clearance to the rafters. Defensively he let their man run along the box for the shot that bounced off Jags in I believe. I'd drop him for Hoever second half. I've defended him as doing a decent job sometimes too but thought he had a really poor showing today. There were times it looked like Laurent was trying to do everything himself while Fox was in acres of space because he knew Fox would just hoof it out. |

Unfortunately he is no worse than the rest of the tossers and therein lies the problem. The squad is full of absolute abysmal players.

I said he was our player of the season, consistently our best performer and a bloke who churns in regular 5/6 out of 10 performances which is more than the rest could claim. It was only a matter of time before he swung a punch in my direction. Had I not had my little lad with me I’m sure he wouldn’t have been able to resist 😂 |

Whilst we have him Thompson,
Gayle,Campbell,Brown and Wilmot near the team
We are going to struggle.
Whether it is ability or committment this lot fail.

Played a lot this season mind - and not particularly badly - so will get Champo interest.

Swansea rely on playing the ball out from the back so much that they often do a ridiculous goal kick that features a 1-2 with the goalkeeper. It’s distinctly something they do. It’s something that always comes up and causes issues every time we play them. We press them and they struggled. They didn’t have time to play the ball up and cause us problems. I like Fox and think we should keep him. He wasn’t the reason we beat them, but he did have a decent game. |

Of the out of contract players he's the only one I'd offer a new contract to and I reluctantly include Powell in that. Fox shouldn't be a regular next season but he's a good option off the bench and he's still only 29. I think he'll probably leave anyway as there will be plenty of championship interest in his services on a free. |

People fall to appreciate that if Fox was a cultured, ball playing LCB, or left back, he wouldn't be at our club. He is what he is, a steady, championship player, no better, no worse.

Fox is certainly no worse than any of the other defenders we have on our books at the moment. At least, he gives us options of playing at left centre back, on the left of a back three or playing solely as a left back. So for me, with having 3 different options to consider against certain opposition, I'd give him a new contract.

I’m not a fan of any of those 3 but I can see Fox getting another contract AN obviously rates and trusts him far more than I do. Solid if not that proactive but an absolute camel with the ball. |
