What a blunder in letting him go. Would rather it was Tymon instead.

A nice enough tweet from Fox I'd say. Not the most blessed of players with skill and pace by any means, but all the best in the future to him. All the best in the future and hope he gets a good club. Always gave his all wherever he was asked to play.

Not often managers & their staff get mentioned personally on these type of goodbye messages. I get the impression Neil doesn't suffer fools and wastrels but he values dedicated professionals like Fox and they seem to respond in kind. He seems to have the ability to piss off those that need to be pissed off and create a good team spirit among those that are worth the effort. I'm a bit surprised Neil let go of Fox who had a good season. He's no world beater but he's a good solid player at this level. I'm sure he will be a first team regular in the Championship next season and if he's gone because we are looking for better then it's a good decision all round. I wish him well.

I won't lose any sleep over him going, but when you have such a massive rebuild, surely it makes a bit of sense to keep some of the squad fillers around? It's just another body to replace. Could he end up at Rotherham or somewhere as first choice, rather than knowing he's back up here?

Seems like a good character and average player that still may have been a useful fringe player, given the amount of players to be brought in. Can’t think of one playing attribute where he excelled. At worst looked like he was a waiter running around in a very busy restaurant.

A decent enough player who I would place fairly low down my list of those culpable for our problems. I’m sure he is fairly relaxed in the knowledge he will get another decent club with ease.

He wasn't the greatest player by any stretch but the effort was always there and he's decent cover for this league who can play in a few positions. I think his post shows he was a decent lad to have around the changing room too.

It shows how far we’ve fallen that some people think we should’ve kept Morgan Fox.
He’s the epitome of a lower Championship player. We have to aspire for better players in every single position, as the squad this past year has stunk the place out.
Going to be huge job to assemble a squad and get them performing!

Good luck to him, an honest trier and at least had our best interests at heart.

Stevens a much more vocal figure in the dressing room which is a big plus However remains to be seen if he's got enough in the tank on the pitch

Where have QPR suddenly got this pot of gold from? Tbf, Morgan Fox is exactly the type of player you sign, when you haven’t got a pot of gold.

I thought he wanted too long a contract. This is the new hard faced and sensible recruitment team 👏👏👏

I thought I’d read somewhere it was cash. Which I suppose that is in reality. He’d be asking for double what we were prepared to pay him. Which returns to my point. If QPR are prepared to give him 2 years where are they getting the cash from?

Begovic won’t be on peanuts and Dyke has signed a new deal so they’re obviously not flat broke for sure…….

QPR have had a few years of not doing a great deal in the market so suppose by not spending much on signings they can afford to give higher wages out to new freebies coming in or on renewing contracts.
Their days of big spending like under the Redknapp & Hughes era are long behind them. Sure I read somewhere the other day that Fernández has severed his links to the club so perhaps they have new investor/owner money to splash around..

Am I missing something? I thought he was really poor myself. Surprised that there's so many clamouring for him back - such a limited footballer.

Probably right but always looked a better option than Tymon defending and a load better than Stevens did yesterday. Quality permanent full backs have been our biggest hole for years now.

I think that he was probably one of our better performers last season (that is not saying much, admittedly 😂). The fact he could play either left back or centre back was beneficial. His versatility really helped us at times when we were short of fit bodies. Ultimately, we have swapped Fox for Stevens. Time will tell if that is an upgrade or not.

Decent defender , experienced, sensible, can play centre back at a push .
Arguably a little too slow for the championship, certainly not up with the pace against the leagues quicker wingers .
Our plan ...to replace him, with someone 4 or 5 years older and even slower.
Truly a Baldrick ( Blackadder ) style plan.
