Same people slating him and saying hes crap also slated Bathe, Doughty and Tommy Smith. All 3 of which are currently in the play offs. But all still shit.

I've never really been a fan of Fox but have stated previously that he has been decent this season, not let us down, and performed better than expected. That said, we need better and there are VERY few players that I would get upset to see leaving
The key is bringing better players in and creating a squad capable of challenging at the top...no small feat when there is no "spine" to build around.
Busy summer a comin'

I would have kept him with the state of the squad as it is. Decent cover for centre half and left back, it's yet another hole to fill.
Thought he was one of the few to improve under Neil after being pretty useless early doors for us.
I guess the other way of looking at it is that Neil is having a proper clear out.

I still think he would have wanted too much money and can get better offers elsewhere tbh. He will be 10k+ here now and we wouldn’t want to go anywhere near that and rightly so.

Said the same so often people go good riddance in a vacuum of who the replacement will be fox has been very decent second half of the season and we’ve now lost 3 centre halves since January and axel who goes back irs not a rebuild it’s a new build we stand on the brink of absolute disaster

Thought Fox was one of few having a decent season, but Neil obviously thinks we can bring in better players. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/0m0lbCuTEBzaRn6f8QaM.gif)

Two year deal I’m coming and rightly so player will want three so may be 2 with an option itk gold right there ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/0m0lbCuTEBzaRn6f8QaM.gif) Time will tell in my view I’d have kept him Neil very likely to replace him with worse or injured or noth id hsve given him two years and we seen in smith Baht and doughty celebrating departures is very misplaced if your recruitment team has a travk record only surpassed by Herods reputation at mother care , we need 4 centre halves now and two or three full backs not a -racer we will do anything but struggle badly or worse

Not the worst option to have on the bench

We'll see what we end up with coming in. Can't see players coming in for much less than that thanks to all three of them flapping their gums about how much we have to spend, and we have fans happy to clap in 30 year old Daniel Johnson as a back up, who is rumoured to be on circa 20k a week at Preston. Long old summer coming up I fear.

And if you do want a back 4, go with that we need 2 starters who are worth that money, Wilmot as first change and keep Taylor around.

Not good enough for a side that wants to leave this league in the right direction.

The lad needs a loan, not seen enough to suggest otherwise, and it’s too big a risk to rely on him to start many games. Keep him and you’ll only moan that he’s not getting games.

He’s alright and think will do well if that was the case. He’s good enough to play in a team looking towards promotion provided he’s not the one holding the back 4 together

I think AN clearly sees Wilmot as first choice and expect a left sided CB to be signed to play with him, if Taylor stays he will be back up.

Watford showed what he is, bench player and good for rotation. I honestly think he regressed this season.

I think the exact opposite cut out the mistakes and produced consistent performances Probably never man of the match but no stinkers either 6, 7 or 8 of 10 every week Given no other player did that explains why he won player of the season

As backup he’s fine. Edit: getting off topic here 😂

The mistakes were littered throughout the season and the defence bar Sterling really just couldn’t defend very well. We’ve never looked solid back there or even close to it.
