Mine is powell, whilst not wanting to turn him into a scape goat, he certainly seems very popular from various instagrams, our best player, not getting games etc. This. Playing Smallbone over Powell is madness. Can only presume it's trying to prove a point and/or intends to move him on. |

I’m really not seeing this ‘not playing for the manager’ stuff. It’s dreadful, uncohesive, brainless stuff but it isn’t lacking in effort. We’re battling, we’re even creating chances in spite of how shit our overall play is.
The issue as far as I can see is the players can’t do what’s being asked of them. They’re being asked to move the ball quickly and play at a higher tempo and they seem totally panic-stricken at the idea.
That’s on them but it’s also on Neil, who claimed to be flexible and able to find the right system for the players at his disposal but hasn’t come close to doing that and is making himself part of the problem.
