Seems like that is what Stoke are angling for. I'd snap their hands off for that. Something like 12 million plus Iverson sounds likely to me. I agree. It would smart abit but I think it would actually improve us. Depending what we did with the 10m that is.

I don't understand that. If we can get through until the Summer without sanction how are we fucked? The situation is said to ease considerably by the Summer Because of the £39 million in 3 seasons limit and we’re a substantial amount over that, hence the inevitable sale of Souttar to the highest bidder Doesn’t make sense. We must have been compliant last season or we would have a sanction. With the Collins money and the losses from 2018/19 gone, how can we be in more trouble this season than last?

We’re going down if we don’t do anything. GK, DM & ST bare minimum to stay in this league. We’d need a centre half of Harry were to go too. We’ll be operating to different FFP rules if we go down so it won’t matter in the end 😂

I think the manager deserves credit. No Pre season, no transfer window apart from this one, which in hindsight is mid season and not really best timing for managers and clubs. Inherited a shite squad with no players of his choice so he’s had to make do with what he’s got from September to now. He’s stamped his authority by in this window mid season turning round and sending absolute shite transfers and loans back to where they’ve come from and told players they’re not needed (flint and bursik). In realistic terms and people might not like it but in footballing terms too, he’s not going to turn the season around really without a preseason and his own clear out, this season needs writing off and judge him from next season unless a miraculous turnaround happens and we make the play offs which would be a bonus. Unfortunately we have some of the fan base that think it’s Fifa or football manager and we miraculously should win 6-7 games on the bounce. It doesn’t work that way. Especially with a dog shit squad he’s inherited. I have full faith in this guy and he’s full of confidence when it’s going right and takes full responsibility when it goes wrong. 100% disagree hes taken results back , hes taken morale back he’s taken supporter engagement back all very an incredibly low base and done exactly what he said he wouldn’t do Suzy-rounded himself with his cronies , he is a abject disaster of an appointment as for making the play offs he might make league ine play offs but he wasn’t see championship playoff no matter how ling it lasts

Wonder what the chances of Souttar playing Saturday are? With negotiations supposedly ongoing etc I wonder if his head will be in the right place as the saying goes?

I don't buy all this selling Souttar to fall in line with ffp. I think it's to finance the deals Neil wants to do. Probably three or four expensive loans possibly with a view to buy in the summer.

I’m reserving judgement until we see who he brings in but I’m struggling to think of who could be available who will give us the improvement we need. Any idea at all on any incomings?

It would help if he was English. He’s classed as HG I’m sure. As he was with us before his 18th birthday. Ah right, nice one.

Funnily enough I live quite near to Harry and have to go to Leicester three or four times a year. Sat nav says 80 mins but often takes over two hours. Wouldn't fancy that journey every day.

For Iverson and a decent fee , I am happy for him to go .
I can see why people, might think he could potentially be a good player in a different team, surrounded by better players.
But he is not that great for us , he's not Mr Stoke
Take someone like Mr Brighton, Lewis Dunk , he's been there forever, it's his home town club and he is always a steady 7 out of ten for them , in the championship or the prem ,year after year. He is massive player for them , even though he is miles away from being one of their most talented players these days.
Souttar is not that player , he is okay but unlike Dennis Smith , Andy Wilkinson and co , he is not Mr Stoke . I think he can play better in a better team and if we can bag a top goalie and millions of pounds from giving him his chance , it's happy days all round.

I don’t think moving house and commutable journeys would make a difference when there’s a premier league team and multi million pound contract involved. It could be Southampton or Newcastle. He’d still go either way and move if the deal was right, it’s the premier league he wants and he’s not going to get it with stoke within the next few years.

I think selling Souttar would just suit the whole business. Whether It helps more with FFP I don’t know with income but also funds Neil for transfers like you say. So all round good deal for the club if we get the right money.

Not sorry to see any of them go but this is a fair gap to fill with what currently looks like the square root of fuck all coming in. Particularly with the other rumours about outgoings floating about.

I love your thinking and I am glad your glass is half full. But I am fairly sure if Harry went to Leicester his wages would be big enough for him to buy another house in Leicester and just rent out the Stoke one . I am going back a bit , but I can remember Robbie Fowler scoring for Liverpool and the Kop all singing ( to the tune of the Beatles yellow Submarine) ' we all live in a Robbie Fowler house, a Robbie Fowler house etc . I reckon if Robbie Fowler can afford half of Merseyside then Harry can probably manage a house in Leicester.

Wonder what the chances of Souttar playing Saturday are? With negotiations supposedly ongoing etc I wonder if his head will be in the right place as the saying goes? Aside from where Harry's head is at, would the club be willing to risk a potential deal for him being scuppered by an injury?! If his sale is key for the benefit of our FFP situation, or to allow AN some funds to rebuild. Be a big risk to play him if things are so finally balanced and he's pivotal to our immediate future. It's likely the 'Harry's picked up a niggle & isn't able to be selected' line may be wheeled out come 2pm on Saturday.

If it’s only a fine surely we should just buy whoever we want and take the hit if it means staying up.
