How the fuck are Blackpool managing to sign players from Europe. Millwall's best player was signed for £2m from the Dutch league. Yet we blow most of our budget on Dwight Gayle, 3 years after he was any good. Do we even have any scouts? or do we just watch reruns of premier league years and pick our targets from there? I get the impression that John Coates does the scouting and buys players himself. Sometimes influenced by his wife “oooooh he looks nice”. Does make you wonder.

Why would we not want to send him to Rovers after the vital development Harry benefited from under Barton? He’s definitely one for the near future and a potential heir to Souttar, and it’s not as if he’s getting games here.

Those astute signings will be managed by someone else now too. That's 3pts for Blackpool in Feb. then.

Surely it implies that Souttar is going in this window and he will most likely be needed.

I like Joe Gelhardt, but playing with a centre forward. Any sign of one of those or is his name Jacob Brown?

Got to say, this transfer window is only further ruining the general atmosphere surrounding Stoke City at the moment. I have no clue what we are trying to do. It looks like we are going into this weekend still at least one goalkeeper and one striker down, when we are crap in both departments as it is. On the plus side, we only have one league game to play, but on the other it's fucking massive and it's 48 hours away in terms of having players signed in time.
Get someone through the door to raise the interest and mood a bit. We can't be that desperate on the cash/FFP side if we've got rid of 2 players (and maybe more before Friday)?!

The Leicester signing seems to be a left-back though
(although I don't know if their finances would allow them to plonk something similar on Souttar)
Doubt West Ham will let Moyes spend anything if the sack;s hovering over him (same with Lampard).
It is looking unlikely now, isn't it?

Going to be worst window for a very long time We simply can't afford for it to be so though, else we're going down. In what terms do you mean worst mate? Number of ins? Quality of ins? Players leaving?

Going to be worst window for a very long time FFP is killing the club mate Why's it not killing every other club in the same manner? It's the board that are killing the club and their mismanagement. Fucking Millwall and Luton spent fee's of £2m+ on players that are scoring goals for fun this season. Whilst we're wasting £20k a week on Dwight Gayle. FFP isn't the issue, the owners are!

The plan seems pretty obvious to me. We are waiting for Souttar to go then spend the money on two/three players who are genuine upgrades (not difficult) on what we have. If Souttar stays we will replace the departing loans with some other loans who hopefully are better suited to Neil's system (whatever that is). If we start loaning players in now and then a transfer kitty becomes available we won't be able to spend it because we've already committed to wages. Obviously we need to have a deadline for the sale of Souttar/Tymon to allow us enough time to make the deals. That's how I see it anyway. Can't see any incomings before next week.

It's a dangerous game if players start moving before we decide to accept Souttar won't be sold. We've already missed out on Bentley & Darlow it seems goalkeeping wise.

If only we could have afforded Josh Bowler & John Swift It really does look like we’re shopping in bargain bins doesn’t it and those saying we have no money to spend are not far off the truth. Very worrying if that’s the case. It's been the case for a while, we spent some hefty wages in the summer on one or two and the others were cheapo loans, I'm surprised anyone is only just realising.
