I take it we won't have any new faces playing on Sat then, unless a few of our youngsters get a start.

15M, add ons to 20M plus a sell on and Iversen in exchange works for me.

Another player we would have to pay money for but will be towards the end of his career after 3 years so no resale value. I thought we were after younger players to develop and sell on

We need a mix and people who can hit the ground running.

We know the rules. We only have ourselves to blame. Yes we do However it’s the rules that are the problem. It’s one rule for one and one for another It’s totally inept The rules may be poor but they are the same for every club in a division. Chelsea have been able to spend because they have sold so many players in recent years. Challenges have been made to City about the value of sponsorships from their owners and related parties but equally the bet365 deal is definitely on the generous side. It could be argued our problem is that we didn't spend enough between 2014 and 2016, we were well within the FFP rules and made profits. Even so we were relegated with enough financial headroom to do well but Rowett and Jones were allowed to blow the budget.

They just need to be honest with what they call it!

Well I'm sorry but you're wrong. So your telling me if Harry souttar gets offered a contract at Crystal Palace, he’s gonna turn around and say, “No thanks Mr Viera, I love my home here around the stoke Cheshire areas and will keep my wages at Half what you’re offering, and enjoy the depths of the championship and maybe league one because trentham gardens is beautiful.” Come off it. I’ve seen it in football and I’ll see it again. Marko was a classic example. I’ll give you Leicester is commutable maybe. He's not in a rush to leave, he's happy and settled in the area and is confident he can find a move whether it be now or in 12 months without sacrificing it.

If Harry stays for now then surely we just need to replace the loanees that have left/are leaving with new loans? Easier said than done but it's still a plan. We can't wait until the last day of the window so any deal for Souttar has to happen a few days before the deadline.

Learn our lessons from previously and sell Soutts when his stock is high. So sell now.
Looking back, should’ve done the same with Tymon, Campbell, Brown etc.

I can't think of one that we can't get an existing player to do what they did for us equally badly.

Don't want to tempt fate, but feels like we're for once negotiating with a bit more b*llocks. In an ideal world we'd get 25Million + but i'd be pretty happy with 15 Mill + Iverson on top, seems like we're not a million miles from that This is the deal for me £15m + add on + Iverson.

Looking back, should’ve done the same with Tymon, Campbell, Brown etc. If it's a case of now or in the Summer I can't see why it's even in question. January prices are notoriously higher. The only question should be would Harry be willing to commit to giving us next season and can we afford to do that and stay within FFP limits.

So we've turned down over 14m? We either don't need the money desperately then, or were confident someone will beat that bid

Dykes could keep us up the pitch more.

If we do nothing in this window, we will be relegated. No doubt about it. We’re an injury away from having Fielding or Simkin in goal. We haven’t got a fit right back. We don’t own a left back that’s to standard. We have one good centre half who is being misused. We don’t own a midfield. We don’t have any wingers the manager likes. And we have no one that can lead the line. Other than that it’s great. bayernoatcake Jul 23, 2022 at 1:48pm via mobile The Toxic Avenger, likelyladgalizmo, and 3 more like this I think the midfield looks a lot stronger.
Past that I’m not convinced. But still plenty of time yet. Which one should we believe?
