For same reason as it failed the Chartists, the Levellers, the Poll tax rioters (twice), those that took part in the General Strike, the Suffragettes, the Kinder Scout trespassers etc. Im sure all of these seemed "inconvenient" at the time but thankfully these "oiks" all took no notice and the Country changed for the better. As a result I have some employment rights, allowed to vote without needing to be landed gentry and I'm allowed to freely move about parts of the country of my birth. No one was given any of those opportunities via democracy. If however the Peterloo Massacre is more your bag then let the State loose on them. Sign off as Angry from Tunbridge Wells |
