Absolute rubbish, nothing Bursik could have done about that shot. Came through a crowd of players with no clear sight. Brown has to score that at the end. It's pointless having all the possession when we're this poor up front. Campbell has had a shocker tonight, usually his biggest fan but his decision making and end product was woeful. Does Gayle look like he'll ever score in a stoke shirt?

I dunno what to say about that.
AN said this week in an interview that he was building something that the fans can get behind and even when we lose, the fans will see the effort and they won’t turn on the players (words to that effect) - it’s like he knew tonight was going to happen.
Good performance, good attacking play, terrible finishing - but I can’t otherwise fault anything. We should’ve won 6-1.

Fair play Rotherham, one shot on target is all it took. They defended well and used every trick in the book. Annoying as hell to watch but you’ve got to take your chances.

Oh well, it happens. If we play like that every week we will win significantly more than we lose. We need to string some results together to get in the mix before the World Cup, though.
For anybody bothered, it was 1.88 - 0.19 on the xG scoreline.

Did everything but score tonight. Disappointing to lose and I think the early goal changed their whole setup and they were happy to try and defend the lead. Another day we score 3 or 4.
