What can we expect from the Millers? Needless to say I know nothing of them.
My natural prejudice says a muscular, up-and-at-em outfit with an 18 stone striker and a jinxy bloke on the wing!

Same team as the last two games apart from I’d bring Flint in for Jagielka. We didn’t look too clever defending set-pieces yesterday and that will be Rotherham’s main threat.
Hopefully Campbell’s injury isn’t a serious one, if he’s not fit then Delap comes back in.
Great opportunity to really kick on with back-to-back how games against sides we should be looking to beat.

Jags never got out of second gear?
Great, composed performance -just check the 'jags' thread.
& if he did struggle on crosses, I certainly never saw it.
If he needs a rest however to accommodate a 3 game week, well that's different.

If he needs a rest however to accommodate a 3 game week, well that's different. I never said he struggles on crosses I said the team as a whole looked questionable defending set-pieces. Jagielka was absolutely fine as usual, but it’s asking a lot for him to play a three game week. Flint will be much more suited to paying against a physical side like Rotherham and Jagielka will be better suited playing against Coventry.

I probably conflated your point about set pieces and the recommendation to rest / drop Jags as it being somehow his 'fault' - whereas I thought him totally untroubled. I personally didn't see many defensive jitters from set plays in the flesh as it were but maybe I missed any or it seemed so on the telly? And while I completely take your point about rest, I equally worry a little about Flint's non set piece ability. Horses for courses though and that already seems to be one of AN's bonuses, so we'll see Tuesday.

Both Tuesday & Saturday will be really tough matches, any supporters looking at the fixtures and seeing 2 easy home wins, and think will be in for a shock.

..coming up next, at home. I'd like to think it's six points from six being a possibility. Particularly if we played the way we did yesterday, against Preston. Which would be a nice 4 win streak.

After the last couple of performances and results I'm actually feeling optimistic, for a change.
It feels like the manager has got a grip of the situation now. Onwards and upwards.
3-1 to the Mighty Potters!

If we pass to feet in and around the box, we should create enough chances to win this game handsomely. Alternatively, if we fall into the trap of playing the ball in the air, we'll struggle to break them down. Over to you Alex!

Rotherham is just the sort of fixture to bring everyone back to earth with a bump. If Neil can adapt and get a result out of this one I think we will know weve got a bloke who has got the measure of this league and all it throws at you.

Luckily for you, sir, Alex Neil has already installed a soft mat in your house in readiness for Tuesday and has placed 6 bottles of Champers in the fridge for next May. Enjoy.

Can see this one being the type of the game that we’d normally struggle with but with the feel good factor and performances in the last week I am hopeful of 3 pts. If we pick up 4 points from the next 2 games I’ll be pleased but I want 6😜

I’ll settle for a bottle of beer and a play off place but it’s good by me.

Rotherham are 21st in the away table with 3 draws and 2 defeats from their 5 games.
Will be a good test to see if we still deal in charity donations.

Sadly we dunner do 4 game winning streaks very often. Unbelievable but our last 4 game winning streak was 11 years ago, Nov-Dec 2011, Blackburn (h), Everton (a), Spurs (h) and Wolves (a).

I really don’t want to jinx it but these 2 home games are more than winnable & if we could get 6 points out of them then we would be inside the play off places. Recent performances have shown that we’re more than capable though.
