Thought we've played alright in that half. Stupid goal to concede but aside from that don't think we were particularly threatened. Campbell looking much sharper than last season. Taylor having a very good game. Clarke seems a bit more confident today and trying to make things happen. Laurent also playing with good energy. And we've still got options on the bench that can turn things around in smallbone, brown, Kilkenny etc. The Den is a hard place to play. Millwall got 45 points at home last season only one less to Fulham and Bournemouth. I know it's not particularly fashionable on the oatcake to show any positivity but I feel we're still well in this game and could get something out of it. Can't say I agree. We've had 1 shot. They look more like getting a second than we do of getting an equaliser and they've barely threatened themselves.

Am I the only one that thinks last 20mins we’ve been the better team? Or is that not allowed to be said? You can say it, not sure many will agree with you We are playing a Rowett team and they are 1 up. We will be the better side for the next 45 mins but we won't score in the next 45 years

We have to go 433, an extra centre defender to leave our top scorer on the bench isn't working

Holden is our next manager. You'd see 3 wins out of 5 - he gets the job (cheap) then 2 wins in 29 and relegation It's obvious what will happen. When old man Coates ran out of money he gave it to Bates. We're now in a similar position with young un with FFP. We can't afford to buy players for money ATM, so you can bet your bollocks we can't afford a manager after wiping out all of the backroom staff.

Anyone else watching a stream with the Millwall commentary? “Stoke look clueless” Me. They have been very fair in their comments. It’s a repeat of the hearts friendly. We are not creating any chances of note, and by and large, we do look clueless when we bring the ball out of defence.

I know it's the first game but for me this is the sort of game which is basically the litmus test as to whether you're going to be up there or not. Millwall will be finishing mid-table to play-offs. Basically a well organised side who largely play for set pieces but who otherwise are pretty limited. You have to have something about you to beat them. Unfortunately so far we haven't and that's been the case for the past few seasons there. Millwall are very difficult to beat at their place. If they slightly improve their away form they can be serious play off contenders. Top 6 sides would be looking to get at least a point here.

Not good Midfield don't seem to have a clue. Laurent is clearly a player but it looks like he has no idea where he is supposed to be playing or what he's supposed to be doing. Clucas is just Clucas. I think the plan is to play out of defence, but whenever the defence is on the ball everyone is stood still, so they end up just launching it. Ty has looked sharp the couple of times he's got on the ball. Gayle looks like a player who's only scored about 5 goals in the last three years. MoN needs to earn his corn this ht

Campbell looks sharp though which is a positive. Flint looks so uncomfortable, what a scary signing. It was always a poor signing, never understood it at all.

Poor goal to concede but we've played better than expected without really threatening too much.
Clarke hasn't really offered anything so far and we need a goal so we should look to bring Brown on for him and go 433.
Clucas has been better than expected but Smallbone needs to come on to give us more going forward.
Don't feel we have enough forward options on the bench today.

Positives for me: Baker looking good Campbell pace is back Taylor looks fine Laurent really growing on me I think he will be a good buy Hmmm, not to sure I agree tbh, the midfield has been second to the ball for most of the game and look lost. I wouldn't like to comment on how they've played as a unit, those were my positives only.

Ive seen better school football than what Stoke are playing.
Changes need to be made at half time, not with 20 mins to go, when we could be behind by 2 or more.

Who's doing the 'dirty' work that Allen/Whelan used to do? Supposed to be split between Baker and Laurent I think but seems they weren't told.

He lost his arse at Bristol City and their form in the second half of his season there was similar to ours last season.

Agreed but they don't particularly look like a Premier League ready side. Then again I didn't think Forest did last season. It doesn't take a lot to do well in this division. Just got to be well organised, good at set pieces and all singing from the same hymn sheet. Unfortunately we have none of those things. Sorry for the negativity it's just incredibly frustrating.

Clucas has done alright IMO but we need a creative in midfield, it's not balanced. Clucas for someone creative. A centre back for Brown. 4-3-3.

Millwall have only had one shot on target which was the goal from the corner. We've got some good balls into the box and even into the feet of gayle, just lacked that instinct and initiative at times. Aside from the Millwall goal, what other good chance have they had?
