Lets hope thst MoN can change things around a bit during the interval. Fingers crossed that the lads can get a bit of better grip and turn things around in the second half. The fans that travelled today deserve to see a bit more of a effort on the pitch. Let Holden do the teamtalk while Mike's writing his resignation letter as long as Holden has enough time to write his as well. Hes as much of a problem as MON is.

Smallbone on after 84 mins when we are 2 or 3 down no doubt .
Piss poor.
Gayle has already taken to coming back to the halfway line just to get involved.
A few more games like this and the owners have to do something surely ?

I cannot believe our top scorer from last season didn't start.

Am I the only one that thinks last 20mins we’ve been the better team? Or is that not allowed to be said? Definitely but making the wrong decision in attack costs us chances eg Campbell not passing square to Gayle when 2 v 1

Quality of chances created has been abysmal, very much kick and rush with no defined way of playing. Too similar to last season so far.
Smallbone on at from half-time for me but MON will stick to what he usually does and change it too late.

I cannot believe our top scorer from last season didn't start. I suspect he wants to get some minutes into Gayle's legs.

It’s blatantly obvious that we need more numbers in midfield. Why can’t he see it?

Uh-oh.. seems we're taking our preseason form straight into the league..that's on the manager and the owners, as far as I'm concerned, it's not like we haven't had plenty of warning. A better second half will lift the mood but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I know it's the first game but for me this is the sort of game which is basically the litmus test as to whether you're going to be up there or not.
Millwall will be finishing mid-table to play-offs. Basically a well organised side who largely play for set pieces but who otherwise are pretty limited. You have to have something about you to beat them.
Unfortunately so far we haven't and that's been the case for the past few seasons there.

Anyone else watching a stream with the Millwall commentary? “Stoke look clueless” Me. They have been very fair in their comments.

Shapeless clueless wank. 11 fucking minutes we held out. This is just what we are now isn't it, a dogshit lower 2nd division team. Welcome back to a long childhood of turgid incompetent shite, cheers to all involved

Thought we've played alright in that half. Stupid goal to concede but aside from that don't think we were particularly threatened.
Campbell looking much sharper than last season. Taylor having a very good game. Clarke seems a bit more confident today and trying to make things happen. Laurent also playing with good energy.
And we've still got options on the bench that can turn things around in smallbone, brown, Kilkenny etc.
The Den is a hard place to play. Millwall got 45 points at home last season only one less to Fulham and Bournemouth.
I know it's not particularly fashionable on the oatcake to show any positivity but I feel we're still well in this game and could get something out of it.

Well that was a depressing half.
Being mullered by Millwall ffs!
Why the fuck are we hoofing it up repeatedly to no one.
Defence continuously looking like it’s teetering on collapse
Zero creativity Zero fight Zero clue, equals Zero points
Get a grip MON

I sense an awesome inspiring half time talk, inspired substitutions, fast attacking football with MoN stood arms aloft in front of the away fans at the final whistle as they chant his name after finishing 4-1 winners....
....Sorry, I got carried away with early season hopes..I'll give myself a good talking to.

Am I the only one that thinks last 20mins we’ve been the better team? Or is that not allowed to be said? we have. They’re pretty average but play to there strengths. Play it long and get scraps off set pieces. We’re not out of it but can’t keep hitting it long and bypassing midfield. We need to use our subs no later than the hour. We ain’t got a midfield. No one wants it. It was the same against Hearts until Smallbone came on and wanted the ball.
