Extremely excited by this signing. Whether it was Man City or Delap who decided what his best option is(and I do believe City ultimately decide his career path)we have acquired a player who has scored for fun at every level he has played at and teams have bid millions, allegedly to buy him plus loads want him on loan. I suppose we are not as toxic as some people think we are. "Toxic Stoke" is nearly as widely recognised in popular use as West Brom Nil!

Anyone else see Delap's performance when he came on in the U19 Euros final against Israel? It was something to behold.

Oh I get it: Delap hasn't signed for us, O'Neill didn't see the contract through, and he was just sacked...and I didn't quote CBUFAWKIPWH ad verbatim Now Sorensen82, who has never once had a football discussion with me, calls me out for the very thing he's guilty of all the time himself.... And there he goes again. A thief thinks every man steals...

I was just going to suggest some Savlon and Lucozade. The cure for all in our house. Cuts, bruises, being hit by a car etc

2 things stand out for me from that 1) he absolutely loves letting people know that he's used young players 2) he has ZERO intention of stepping away from 5 at the back, even though we haven't got the players fit to play it at the moment

532 and another 1-2 loss it is then on Saturday! Can't wait! Can't imagine Alex Neil will be worried at all after watching the replay of our game on Wednesday and he'll no exactly who to exploit our dodgy back line. Hoping I'm wrong but looks like it's only going one way if he continues to be stubborn and stick with 5 at the back.

Alex Neill is their manager for a reason also. Anything but a win for us be a poor result in this one.

I don't know what your attached file holds, but as you haven't been able to point to a single factual falsehood I am supposed to have made, I can't be bothered with your phony messages and won't reply to any more from you.

To be fair Fornie, a Model T Ford with a dude walking in front of it with flags, doesn't do as much damage. At least they took that horrible, sticky , orange film off the Lucozade bottles

Don’t get the hype around this signing given the lack of mens football he’s played. I can see him getting 2 goals and less than 15 appearances this season with many of those hyping him up now saying his signing was a poor one and that he lacks experience when he doesn’t deliver. I really hope I’m wrong though Having read a multitude of comments, and absorbed all of the Hype, I can now categorically state that the signing of Delap junior is the biggest thing to happen to Stoke since the return of Stanley Mathews!

Come 1400 he’ll suck the hope out of the fans 532 Clucas starting Thompson LWB Delap on the bench Delap only just signed for us a couple of days ago. You can't seriously expect him to start can you? I'd actually be a little worried if he starts because I worry he may pick up an injury in his first game. Also I'll feel a little bad for Brown or Campbell that someone has already taken their spot after only two days at the club. I get that he'll be starting every game after this but I think today Delap being on the bench is the best option.

I don't think Delap will start but when we are losing, which I fully expect if MON perseveres with this stupid 532 formation,I hope he gives him more than 15 minutes off the bench. Today could be the managers make or break moment because another poor performance and result could see the vast majority of the fan base turn.

If he’s as good as good as they say he needs to start from day one. He was happy to do it with Fosu v Boro. Delap could bring a whole new dimension to our side. Maybe I’m just desperately searching for hope after the recent rubbish he’s been dishing out.

I genuinly believe if he sets up with the same formation and starts Clucas again and we concede early things could get toxic during the match. If we lose playing like we did on Wednesday surely something has to happen even if it’s a call to the boardroom Monday to tell him he’s on borrowed time and that he needs to start changing things or he’s out. At the moment it feels like we’re sleepwalking into a relegation battle because fixtures wise we’ve not had the toughest of starts. Injuries of course haven’t helped but neither have his selections and tactics. We still have enough quality fit players to win these games. There are poorer sides than us on paper doing a lot better.

What happened to Clucas? Like two seasons ago he was robbed as player of the year and now everyone hates him.
