Should BT Sports be concerned that they are paying three ex England internationals to work as summarisers and not even one of them bothered to learn the current version of the offside rule?

It looked that way to me too but I'm sure others will disagree 🤷♂️ A big warning though what this Madrid team can do. Guess who has Mane to score at any time to win his bet😟😟 Yep it should wake them up Liverpool have dominated so far and nearly went behind, typical Real.

It definitely did get touched by a Madrid player. The initial touch was the Madrid player towards goal and then it went off 2 Liverpool players after that. The point being made by the studio ref is it can’t be offside if the Liverpool player accidentally played the ball which is a rubbish rule. I want Liverpool to win and they’ve dominated but in my opinion that should have been a goal I agree it should have been a goal, 2 Liverpool players touch the ball after the Madrid player so it shouldn't be offside. There is no such thing as accidental in that situation imo If they are trying to play the ball how can it be accidental or unintentional?

Doesn't make much sense, no. If the decision to go to ground is seen as accidental, does that mean you shouldn't get a card as a result of a foul sliding tackle? Nonsense, everything's a choice.

I don't think Liverpool have been too great in this so far. Plenty of possession, but not their usual threatening selves

So if a player trying to clear the danger hits his the ball into his own player unintentionally then the opposing player is offside What a load of shite From what yank TV people said no. You count the last "attempt" as who did it. So if it's a deflected forward pass it's offside, deflected clearance it's not. But wtf does yank TV know about nogger

Would have made it a better game if Liverpool had scored first. Real were the ones making it slow.

I've thought TAA was struggling defensively in this game. Good going forward but you feel Real Madrid are aware of his limitations.

I don't think Liverpool have been too great in this so far. Plenty of possession, but not their usual threatening selves Madrid are doing a very solid, subtle defensive job. Regardless of if this result holds though, this match so far has shown that Liverpool/Man City are by far the two best teams in the world right now. Real Madrid won La Liga at a canter but they're setup like a world class level Tony Pulis team tonight. Long gone are the days of blitzing all comers with a mentality of "if you score 4 we'll score 5". They're fully aware that if they look to go toe to toe they'll get rinsed.

Both fullbacks at fault there, Robertson caught up the pitch, TAA finds himself in CB position as the actual CB's had to shift a cross but you can see from his reaction that TAA had no idea the player was there

Alexander Arnold thinks he’s something special, what a cock strolling around apart from when he’s supposed to be marking someone.

I've thought TAA was struggling defensively in this game. Good going forward but you feel Real Madrid are aware of his limitations. Isn't that partly that vinicius is real's biggest threat? Can't quite tell whether it's TAA's fault or not. His job is also not a traditional RB
