Well the concert was a bit of a mixed bag last night. I haven't clocked the new lead singer of Queen and I realise there are no bigger shoes to fill but I did struggle to enjoy the performance. Rod and Diana were pants, George Ezra was good, Diversity were brilliant. Surprisingly I enjoyed most of the musicals section. I hadn't heard anything from Hamilton before but the singer and cast absolutely nailed it. I've had Coat of many colours and Climb every mountain stuck in my head all day Celeste was a bit disappointing. I heard Father John Mist performing What a wonderful world on 6Music a few weeks back and he did the song justice. The lad who did the sports rap was a bit crap and our two sports superstars were wooden. Charles has done that spot before but I was very impressed with William. .... and the Queen knows how to play the tea cup, who'd a thought Loved it mate a brilliant opening to the gig, hats off to her and those who dreamt that up.

Great spectacle. Enjoyed the race through British culture of 70 years in three hours, even if it was a bit formulaic Loved the Minis, Morris Minors, BMX tricks and Space Hoppers. Saw Twiggy with a vintage Raleigh bike (sadly not a Chopper) next to Liam Gallaghers 1960s Jag
Enjoyed the fact that people famous in a particular decade were put onto specific busesand shuttled down the mall.
I saw Johnny Ball on the 1970s bus. He was ecstatic. John Craven as well, although can you imagine him getting the phone call
"1970s Bus? Fuck off! I did Countryfile for 30 fucking years after Newsround!"
We do stuff like this brilliantly and enjoyed all of it

The good thing about a 70+ boat pageant in an estuary in the pouring rain is it doesn't matter if you get wet. Fantastic turnout, all flags flying and GSTQ blaring out of the open window of the Brittania Inn competing with the silver band from the next village set up in the life boat station. Free tea and cake all round. This bit of Wales had a great time.

Sorry to interrupt the bootlicking……. Unfortunately some of us like to look for the positives in our country. Yes there’s plenty wrong with it but I happen to still love Britain with all its pomp, pageantry and history. I’d rather that than focus on all the negatives and look to slag it off at every opportunity. Believe me i’m a million miles away from being middle class but I just don’t see the point to being so bitter about the Royals (other than Andrew) from what I’ve seen over the weekend I’d say I’m in the majority. If that makes me a “boot licker” then so be it. Anyway must pop to the docs as I’ve got a bad case of cherry blossom poisoning. Haters gonna hate.

Make the best if it - if Nadine gets her way the next Royal event will be on Netflix.

Are the viewing figures not a bit shit really?
18m watched Harry's wedding and 17m Andrew's. Diana was up at 30m.
25m watched England v Colombia although 5m of them were probably Scottish disappointed when the penos didn't go pear-shaped 😉

Charity’s shouldn’t exist. They exist because of institutions like the Royal Family. So what’s the answer a country like Cuba? Are they the only two options?

I'm glad something can do that as you strike me as a perma-raged, joyless individual Because I don't like the Royal Family? Just your general demeanor. I don't like the Royal Family either. You guys on the left, you always seem do uptight and humourless, even when you've got an extra two days off work!

And in this simple ironic tweet, we see why the farrago of the past 4 days will never, ever be OK. Many young people would rather go on Love Island, the winners of that particular show are their 'Charles and Camilla'

It's the oatcake mate, I couldn't care less and no reflection of who I am in real life. Plus your lager jokes are usually shite and I've heard them all my life And in all seriousness, I'd be careful bringing up the 'demeanours' of people you don't know over the internet, in a world where mental health is so poor. A lot of posters could probably do with checking how they interact with people and I include myself in that.

It's not the Queen or Charlie or Will or George that are the real problem, it's what comes below them that causes many people to be against them. The aforementioned are at the top of many thousands below them that represent privilege and prolong the class differences to the detriment of most. There are a few exceptions just below the top graders who also do a jolly good job, but the rest are bloodsuckers who should go to the guillotine. Anyway, I doff my flat cap to Queenie for the bloody good job she's done during her long reign. Her conduct is the exact opposite of what a republic would be if we had most of her Prime Ministers who served under her as top dog to represent our United Kingdom. Just imagine Johnson as being representative for all of us. It makes one puke to even think about it. And whoever thought up the Paddington sketch should get a knighthood. I've enjoyed seeing so many people happy. Makes a change from the shit we've been through for a long time. God save the Queen! OS.
