Before I start let me say I like the royals and think the queen has served us amazingly for the last 70 years, but….. I think she has already died, but so much momentum had been gained with the jubilee and it couldn’t be announced . I fully expect her death to be confirmed within the next 2 weeks. She was on the balcony yesterday I do think it's obvious she's a frail old lad but 'already dead', come on that's tinfoil hat stuff I don't think some people realise just how "day to day" or even "hour to hour" the very old tend to live or how much a bit of standing around or climbing a few stairs, meeting a few people or even being in a noisy environment can tire them out. My Mum has what looks like similar mobility issues to the Queen (though she is a good decade younger) and while she still has a season ticket at Stoke, I never know for sure that she feels up to going to a match until she is actually sitting in the car with her seat belt fastened and then she will quite often have a really early night when she gets home and relaxing Sunday to recover. I have a couple of other friends in their late 80s early 90s and even though they are active for their age, they also tire very easily and I see no reason why the Queen would be any different.

I don't think she's already dead - however I wouldn't put it past Johnson to push her down the stairs if he needed another distraction to hang on for a few more weeks. My dad was born in 1926, his birthday is September, he's still pretty fit, driving and I still manage to get him to the Brit to watch his beloved Stoke at least once a season, his memories of players and games since his first match as a 10yr old are incredible!. Still making his live steam models in the workshop which keeps his brain ticking over. I'll have to write to uncle Pete next time we go. We all age differently obviously but maybe 1926 was a good vintage. 🙂

What is clear from the last 3 days is how the country on the whole still love the royal family. The amount of street parties I’ve been past over the last few days has been very impressive. It’s nice to have something positive to cheer even if it’s just for a few days.

He used to drool about Steele and Soo, but didn't have much interest for the modern game, which in his case was after the maximum wage was abolished! The last match we went together was the FA Cup semi final at Hillsborough in 71. That finished him off watching football.

Didn't he go on to be mayor or at least another position in SOT.

My old man was 93 when he popped off in 2015 and he too was a massive Stokie since he was an 8 year old in 1930. He could rattle off all the players from the pre war teams.
