How do you know he wouldn't take us backwards, he's done very little of note. For one the players wouldn’t get away with pissing about, secondly I can guarantee you ON will get worse, there’s nothing to this bloke I like now, the nice guy tag has completely worn off it’s a results business not a popularity contest. I'm not saying we should stick with MON but Barton really isn't someone we should be looking at either. MON as a nice guy never washed with me, he's as full as shit as the rest of them but recently having digs at the youngsters shows what he's really like imo, it wasn't a good look for him. Barton has done okay but its not like he's smashed it and ran up the leagues, he got relegated and got very lucky on the last day of this season, Jones was a better bet and look how that worked out, add to that the baggage Barton brings with him and its just more that the club can do without.

I can just imagine him now being interviewed by our Ange with his faux Stoke accent. Gouranga. Isn’t that Shteeve your thinking of?

How about Mark Robins, look at the way he's got Coventry playing? Check his record. His performance at Coventry is very deceiving. Started at crisis club Rotherham. Did well. Went to Barnsley. Poor Went to crisis club Coventry. Did well. Went to Huddersfield. Poor Went to Scunthorpe. Poor Back to crisis club Coventry. Done well.

The way that game played out yesterday needs further investigation. Bristol Rovers needed to win by 5 clear goals. At half time Rovers led 2-0 and Northampton 3-1 meaning Rovers now needed to win 7-0.to go into 3rd place. Scunthorpe already relegated and nothing to play for capitulated and lost 7-0. Mmm

Mmm Didn't Scunthorpe play practically the same side v Hartlepool though? Drew that one . Lots of sides changed line ups yesterday.

With Severn players out of contract,it’s the perfect chance to bring in a manager who is good with young players, but we as supporters have a role to play,we need to be supporting young players not booing them if they make mistakes,we need to fill the stadium instead of playing in front of a half empty stadium,O’Neil to move upstairs,Barton as manger, fans to start been fans again.

If MON stops being the manager he needs to leave the club completely, imagine being the new guy and the previous manager is still knocking about and that doesn't take into account the bizarre idea of keeping a guy that's already failed at the club with zero evidence he'd actually be a good DoF.

There’s so many with a better record.
Edwards and Taylor this season.
Look at Michael Duff or Mark Bonner from last season. Both around mid table L1 with small clubs on small budgets, building on last season’s success.
Either one would do for me but Duff will likely end up at Burnley.

O'Neill has had digs at the youngsters with regularity over both this season and last season.. I remember commenting on it last year. It comes over like a deflection technique. Ps Barton is a definite no from me, if we change we need someone else, I reckon.

We don’t have a vacancy mate🤔 Only a matter of time, it makes sense to discuss possible candidates for when the inevitable happens

The management situation is completely irrelevant. Time you lived in the real world pal- a two point improvement is not progress. We gained one of those points Saturday in a game we were utterly outplayed in by another midtable team. Wake up and smell the coffee

Who else is he going to 'sit down' with anyway, now Scholes has gone?

That is just beyond awful, like watching a car crash in slow motion. He wasn’t thinking; in fact he almost certainly wasn’t even aware he was doing it. It’s quite a common phenomenon. As weird and cringe as it sounds, if you read up on it and why people do it, I personally think the traits that someone needs to possess for this to happen are quite positive.

But Christ it is cringe 😂 ""Psychologists theorise that people do this sort of thing for a number of reasons but [it is] mainly to make themselves understood and to make themselves more likeable." Douglas says that, most often, people will do this subconsciously - and it is likely that this is what was going on in Barton's case. "It's unlikely that he's doing this with the conscious goal to be liked - or to offend anyone. [But] this is one of the perhaps unintended effects," she says. Kim Stephenson, a researcher on the impact of accents, says Brits tend to take one of two approaches - they go "very, very English" or they adopt the accent they are hearing around them. He says mostly it is well-meaning and perhaps out of a feeling of self-consciousness that they do not know the language. In short, they overcompensate - hence the mimicking."
