Shaw will have had 2 weeks solid training going into the Switzerland game when it comes around, right? Just play him, we've got 5 subs, so if he breaks down, it's Man Utds concern, not ours.

You don’t think that’s underachieving with what he spent? Look at what the others spent. He made that team stronger season after season up until last season. He’s probably up there with the finest managers this country has ever seen. I think if you spoke to Liverpool fans they’d disagree with you massively He absolutely did but I still think he underachieved. And agree re him being one the best managers in PL history too. And they would but they’re a weird bunch who can’t see the wood for the trees. I broke the news of him leaving to two of them it was like speaking to members of a cult 🤣

Palmer on the left? Same as existing left side issue, he will come inside all the time and no overlapping left back When he comes inside from there he scores. From the left? From the right yes Just think we have a clear problem on the left, don't think Palmer changes that want him either properly inside or on the right

Yes. But that will depend on Shaw being fit. TAA Walker Stones Shaw will work. But I still prefer three at back with TAA and Saka or Shaw as wing backs. The players have shown today (albeit a limited time and under duress) that they can adapt to a flexible aproach. If Southgate lets them... What about Saka at wing back? As I suggested weeks ago ... Like Saka as a player but he has become a one trick pony.. Him on lwb and trent on right would be devastating.. Palmer pulling the strings.

The fact Man City considered Liverpool as their fiercest rivals says it all about Klopp really

We are getting worse. I support the calls to sack Southgate tonight. A new manager bounce might get us through the next round and perhaps to the final. Who is available/would do it? How about the Australian bloke working as a pundit? Or the Brentford manager working as a pundit? Manager till the end of the tournament.

The current problem with Foden is he's best in the 10. Get him in the 10 and Bellingham in the 8 and Palmer, Saka and Gordon can do the wings either side without huge problems.

Palmer is class wherether he plays but we are too narrow without Shaw, Palmer or Foden on the left isn't working Time to go wingback with Saka and TAA as wing backs Palmer can move inside then

He took them from a virtual laughing stock to being the main challengers for the title with his team playing a fantastic attacking brand of football. He won a league title involving Man City, I doubt he himself or the supporters would consider that to be under achievement. I completely understand what you’re getting at but happen to think you’re wrong on this occasion.

That may or may not be the case, but you casually throw the “coward” insult around at numerous managers. Southgate is struggling, but he was an honest, committed player and an intelligent coach who’s always behaved with integrity. You’re out of order. His cowardice has cost us tournaments. Whatever you feelings about Southgate's performance your use of the word cowardice is tedious and actually offensive.
