James Trafford has been called up to the senior squad to replace Sam Johnstone.
Trafford was literally dropped for Burnley last match because he's been terrible!

For all the shit people give Pickford he is by far and away our best keeper I'd like to see Butland get another spin. No idea if he deserves it to be fair but he seems to have got close recently and I always liked Jack. Signed a shirt for my lad years back and was extremely pleasant 😊

Yes he should, absolute bollocks bayern Why? We have multiple attackers (out of the 4 who should be guaranteed) who are as good as him and if not better. He’s just a bit of a cult hero. Why? Cos he’s an international footballer that’s why, and a very good one at that 🔴⚪️

I agree to a certain extent but would still be surprised to see Southgate ignore him. If he did, it shows up as bollocks his continued selection of Maguire. Grealish is a good option off the bench and can retain possession and draw fouls as said.

He won’t be beyond this season. Who’s gonna sign him for the money they will need for him? I think they'd take a hit on the fee but it's his wages that are the problem. If Pep doesn't want him he'll get rid. However, I've no idea where he would go.

I just think Man City massively overpaid and they’re stuck with each other. Saudi?

Bayern, Juventus, Barcelona all might be realistic. I’d say PSG but they’re just an awful club all round. Don’t think he’d consider Saudi at all He’s probably suit Liverpool actually

We once had easily the best keepers going, we now have some of the worst We had several very good keepers but, in hindsight, question that idea we had the best ones in the world. Banks was undoubtedly a true great. Without the car crash we'd have qualified for West Germany. Following that there was the Shilton Clemence period. Also, Corrigan and Rimmer were strong reliable. BUT in the same era Italy had Zoff West Germany had Maier Argentina had Fillol Poland had Clownface. Taffarel was a big part of Brazil's world cup win in 94. Lots of good savers everywhere

Parkes and Rimmer were good club keepers of the time, no more for me. Pickford comes over as a bit thick and arrogant but has turned into a top class keeper. His clapping his hands and telling at no one in particular when he's aware he's made a cracking save is but odd but is one of the best in the Prem. I can vaguely remember Jimmy Hill and co talking about Fillol and how he wasn't England class, this was a World Cup winner who pulled off a save in the final that was quite brilliant and was a World class keeper and WC winner . Summed up the whole ...our keepers are the best bar none attitude of the time. I think the Netherlands and Brazil didn't have the best but Argentina, Italy and West Germany certainly did

Defensively, we’ve got problems. Stones is a class act but becoming increasingly injury prone. Maguire is Maguire, and I hear now that Luke Shaw is highly unlikely to be fit in time for the Euros. The alternatives are not up to standard and it’s going to lead to Southgate picking a defensive minded midfield to counter it.
