England were shocking if the players got payed for that rubbish they should give it to children in need They already do mate. My understanding is that match fees have been donated to charity since the early 2000s.

A nothing game really so not an unexpected result.
Amusing reading the comments on the BBC website - Southgate has been slated for years for playing Sterling, he eventually drops him and now everybody's whinging that he didnt make the squad. England managers really on a hiding to nothing.
As for prospects next year, nothings really changed - weak across the board in defence but have some very good/world class attackers.

Awful but James Ward-Prowse doesn't make that team play well all of a sudden...

And as I'm sure you know mate they've done that for years. An act of kindness that doesn't fit some people's preconceived ideas of footballers

I watched all of 10 minutes of it while I was waiting for the Pizza delivery fella, fuck me what a pile of shit, it was like watching an over 50's no contact walking game. I feel sorry for anyone who stumped up hard earned £ to watch it, Monty Dons American Gardens appeared much more exciting. Gouranga.

Not sure why people are surprised by it being a bit of a bore. It's a game that had nothing on it. What did people expect?

I bet the average England player is picking up near on 100k a week. Playing for your country is payment enough.

Imagine gloating about a tournament you've never won either That would be embarrasing 😁👍 Always nice to be in one with a chance of winning it mate 😜 For what it's worth I'd love to see Ireland qualify for both the euros and world cup every time. Much rather them over Scotland or Wales and the fans are great aswell. Other than Evan Ferguson though I'm not sure what other real quality players they have to select now which is a shame.

They don't need a few grand for appearance fees on top of their massive salaries. Plus the kudos and exposure of international appearances pays them yet more in endorsements. So no, in my humble opinion they should be happy to give it to good causes.

I personally think it should be mandatory that they donate the fee to people less fortunate than themselves. They earn from the appearance alone anyway. But yeah its satdee night. I'm off out for a curry 😊

Looking at the games this week...although England were awful but can't judge on that
With the right manager they should be favourites. With Southgate they simply won't win it.
Will be whoever France beat in the final

And I’m sure we all will be cheering the lads on come the real competition.

Will be whoever France beat in the final I don't think our defence is good enough to be considered favourites. It needs protecting in every game. Lots of quality up front though so we always have a chance providing Kane/Bellingham stay fit - just wish we'd stop with the faffing about at the back, the players just aren't good/quick enough on the ball so everything grinds to a halt.

Midfield of Foden, TAA and Rice according to the Mail.
Kane rested, with Watkins starting - and Rico Lewis probably at left-back

Good to see Watkins getting a game. It’s a far more exciting line up than the other night and a good test for the young uns in what should be a pretty hostile atmosphere

Simkin did not get a minute for England Elite (U20) they lost 3-0 to Italy and have just won 3-2 in Germany. Beadle the keeper was not the most confident in Germany game which i just watched i obviously hoped Simkin would get sometime.

Why does Pickford keep getting picked ?
Wouldnt it be a good idea to give Ramsdale and Johnstone some game time ?

I really, really like that starting XI.
I'm hoping that Rice and Trent are going to be the starting midfield two behind Jude next summer.
