Last two games at Wembley have seen defeats to Greece and Iceland. Southgate and Carsley are awful coaches but the players have to take a long look at themselves. The two goals we conceded tonight are absolutely scandalous. We beat Finland last game at Wembley although they had good chances too

Well it was an experiment Don't do it again, clear fail Agree. These are the equivalent of friendlies which are a chance to try different things. We tried it. We now know not to play without a recognised striker. We now know we have to have more defensive defenders to balance out the flair We now know Harry will be hard to replace.

When two of your back 4 are TAA and Lewis, defence is low on your list of priorities. It was a total shambles and an experiment that may have cost Carsley the job. To be that cavalier is a major concern.

To be that cavalier is a major concern. Agree. Remember though, the clamour has been to take the shackles off and send them out to attack and fuck everything else. This game demonstrated why that doesn't work. The team and approach was what people have been demanding for a few years

I can’t wait to hear what Carsley says about that shocker. I think it’s the worst England performance I’ve ever seen, no exaggeration 2nd worst mate after Slovakia in the Euros this year.

2nd worst mate after Slovakia in the Euros this year. It was worse than that definitely Scotland 1977 Norway 1981 Soviet Union 1984 Denmark 1992 Norway 1993 Usa 1993 Bulgaria 1998 Poland 1999 Romania 2000 I've stopped there. But just off the top of my head they're all worse than that today

Why can't they pick a balanced team by leaving one of the so called star players out??
Not sure about Carsley now though after that non performance.
He does also need to organise the defence a bit. Seems like he doesn't bother with that part of the game at all

I got slated on here a few years ago for daring to say our players were overhyped and the most average bunch we have had in a long time and and for stating that we are a tier 2/3 team - and yet here we are struggling in tier 2 But I have to hold my hand up and apologise and say I was proved wrong - and say Saka and Foden are amongst the best players in the world - if not the best I'm with Redknapp, we need to cancel international football, it is shite and interrupts the proper stuff, came at a bad time for us and bet we are shite again when we return

The biggest problem for me was that the players couldn't be arsed. Those players, at their levels and against that level of opposition should be winning that game whatever system they are playing. The biggest difference tonight was that Greece wanted it and England players didn't. That was clear as daylight.

Just got back. That was wank. Greece deserved the win, should have been by more in fairness. I love a bit of experimentation but it was clearly not working and Watkins should have been on by the half hour. Dog shit.

Definitely an armchair manager selection: 'Just play our attacking players and let them worry about us instead!'
A disaster but at least it's put that experiment to bed.

and some think Carsley should be manager 🤣😂🤣😂 At this point I still do. I reckon he picked the team he did to distance himself from Southgate. It failed miserably. So a different challenge arises in Helsinki.
