With rich rewards Pickford and Maguire club form does not warrant a call up Their performances for England, in tournament after tournament, absolutely warrant their place Thats his job to pick the best team Which he does over and over again Given we are playing Malta it's an opportunity to give others a go in that game with the regulars playing the other game No problem with those two being picked, they don’t let England down. Although I wish there was more competition |

I’d love to know what Ben White did to be totally outcast by Southgate, it was during the World Cup wasn’t it? A good player who should definitely be in the squad based on performance.

It’s a shame because I think he’s an international player Looks like he's been found out as a weak link these past few weeks from watching a few Arsenal games. Maybe he's tired but I don't think he's worth a call up if he's staying at RB, better options are in the squad. |

Jacob Ramsey definitely but as said before he’s in the u21 squad so I assume that’s why, but maybe Longstaff at Newcastle? I never really rated him before but he’s had a great season to be fair to him, as has Joe Willock but I think he’s injured. But there isn’t really that many other midfielders to be honest, don’t think Ward-Prowse has done enough of late. Given who the two games are against I’d say Rice, Bellingham, Henderson and Gallagher is enough anyway. Gallagher is lucky to get in too for me. I like Ramsey but he’s more all action isn’t he? Phillips and Rice are your two more defensive sorts. Tbh I’d happily see Henderson binned off for Ramsey. I'd like to see Stones playing as a CDM allowing Bellingham to continue to play further forward. We really do lack quality centre halves though. |

As much as Stines has been brilliant we’re too short at the back to allow him to move. |

In the universe where he has done it all in club football, next chapter would be to do it on the international stage. Keeps him involved in top class football but without the everyday stress. |

Even with what we have we regularly get caught in behind. Work to do there. What’s worse is when we’re trying to manage a game it’s a part of our game that worries me. We’re fine on the front foot but when defending a lead against a half decent side it’s squeeky bum time. We need to be more solid and from that base we will be more successful |
