how many fixtures? how many competitive, 1? Was quoted off Five Live that England had not won in Italy since 61, although Im happy to be corrected on that fact Don’t doubt we haven't Just assuming it's not that many games two competitive can think of, World Cup qualifier for 78 and another in 1997,0.0 Not a lot of friendlies either

I have tickets for the Uruguay game. Been to the “old” Wembley many times but my first visit to the new stadium. Looking fwd to it. Hope you aren’t too disappointed when it’s Ukraine and not Uruguay who run out mate 😊 Well spotted. I had not noticed this. can only presume it was preemptive text 😀

That midfield is a bit dodgy now with 2 players who cant get in their club team. One just returning from injury. Must be someone coming in?

Midfield looks a bit sparse outside of Bellingham and Rice.
Have we got any CBs on the rise as the future of that position?

I'm not 100% convinced by him but he's a regular in Serie A and the Champions League with a big game temperament surely a better option than the likes of Guehi who never really impresses me when I see him...........

i read roy keanes autobiograhy , after 3 or 4 games for man utd , bryan robson pulls him to one side brian robson...you are running around a lot roy ( keane) , putting in great tackles , scoring some goals , but thats only half a job . watch me or incey ( paul ince ) , we always showing for the ball , taking it off the keeper , the centre halfs , starting the play off okay thinks roy keane , the blokes bryan robson , he must be right , i will give this a go with practice , roy got better and better at taking the ball of his defenders and starting the play off . What he couldn't do , was take the ball off them and use it like bryan robson and score the amount of goals brian robson did . As the years went bye , he twigged brian robson , must have been effing brilliant to take the ball off the man utd defence , start the play AND SCORE THE AMOUNT OF GOALS ROBBO DID . you dont play alongside brian robson and think declan rice is the real deal . Not being Bryan Robson doesn't make Rice average Rice is a good player which is why so many clubs want him Robson was on of the best players we have ever had Rice is a good premier league midfielder but nothing more, he’s not worth 100 million which keeps getting mentioned about him and no one will pay anywhere near that for him. He hasn’t got the quality on the ball to demand that price. He is the best defensive midfielder we’ve got but I’ve just never got it with him, too often games pass him by (when he’s playing for England not just West Ham)

If we see the same passive performance, lack of aggression focus and desire that we've seen in the last two big games we've had, against Italy in the euros, France in the wc, then serious questions need to be asked.

I was a lot more pissed off about Italy than France. Thought we put in a decent showing against a true top side. It wasn't enough on the day but it showed learning from Southgate, which I was worried he couldn't do.

It was a rarity in being a blameless exit. The French media acknowledged they'd been second best which was slightly pleasing

The world cup on reflection was a lot of nothingness, going out against the first good team. He needs to get a good result and performance against Italy

We maintained our history of going out to the first genuine contenders we face. BUT it was different in that we didn't freeze and took the game to France. I disagree Italy and Germany were poor.

I think for us, with our awful history against the top teams, we have to treat every game as important against them, we need to get in the habit. Eg, first twenty minutes against France the players looked scared, weren't aggressive enough, we don't see ourselves as a top team despite the talent available. Then we spend the rest of the game chasing it

A poor start and I think the FA will be keeping any eye on Potter's situation at Chelsea. Reckon he'll be available come the summer (unless something crazy happens and Chelsea win the Champions League).

Reckon he'll be available come the summer (unless something crazy happens and Chelsea win the Champions League). It'd be a remarkable turn of events for Southo not to be the manager in Germany. And what's a poor start? Some might say a 0-1 defeat on Friday is a disaster.
