Job Done there March. Its not just about the money or club/international decision. They are both very patriotic so why the hell would the want to manage England rather than their own national teams first??

I can see ZERO reasons why they would be interested - other than they happen to both have worked in England for a few years.

Because he just won a tournament with the U21 team - which is massive.

So we can state he looks like he could be an upgrade on Southgate. He will know the players and will bring some continuity but hopefully with a WINNING mentality.

Look at the Spain manager and his past record.....

We've had some good times under Southgate, and only the unbalanced idiots would have wanted him to fail for the sake of not liking someone they don't even know, or to be proven right. Nevertheless it was clear that there were weaknesses in approach that can hopefully be remedied by a change.

Think you are right mate. Similar kind of background to Southgate. If he'd got our job in 2018 when he applied for it, we might still be a premier league club now. He had Swansea and Brighton playing a fast attacking style and that's what most England fans want to see now, given the talent at a managers disposal.

I'm glad Southgate has gone on his own terms - he can hold his head high after a largely excellent 6 years. Personally for me, it's brought the joy back in watching our national team.

Will now be enormous pressure on whoever gets appointed - results wise there's not a lot of wriggle room is there really?

Right decision for Southgate's sake and the majority of England fans would be in agreement I think now.

Break the bank for Klopp.

He would be absolutely perfect to implement a style that everyone wants.

One thing I would say about Carsley, Howe etc.. is that I think a few of the players are very hard to manage. Bellingham at times looked pissed off with how the team was set up and playing. You need a world class manager to get the respect needed from some of our best players.

If it’s another dogmatic FA English appointment then it will be disappointing. Whilst Southgate did a much better job he doesn’t know how to win and frankly there aren’t any English managers that have the mentality to win big either. An English appointment will be a 2 steps back move for now

This group of players needs a winner to guide them and someone who can unlock the creativity they have as a bunch which they regularly display at their clubs but not under Southgate.

We also need someone that isn’t scared to drop the big names if they don’t perform
