I was simply responding to the point(s) made that he's a "dismal footballer", which is patently not true. I understand he was largely disappointing for us (although actually I don't think as poor as some suggest).

Didn’t do it at all in 4 years at Stoke.

Been told this morning by a fairly reliable source that we are waiting to see what happens with Byrne (hardly breaking news I know) but also that Nyambe has kind of shot himself in the foot with regards to turning down a contract with Blackburn, we are interested but not as much as the player would have hoped and now doesn't seem to have as many options as first thought.

Probably because before Stoke he scored a pretty impressive amount of goals for someone that isn't a striker, even at Stoke in his early showings.
