He was definitely one of the better players throughout each of the last x3 games. Must be leaving. Good luck to him!

This is Stoke, would have been told to play him by the mafia that really run the club because of the upcoming shop window - probably be sold in the next few days - if they have played their cards right.

He been playing for a move. With MON's backing. He is probably dying for Ince's wages to go somewhere

I would be open to both of them going as we prepare a long term renewal of the squad. Realistically play-offs look unlikely and both will be gone in the summer anyway. Let them go, and we still have DWP, JPB, Tye, Brown and Maja for two or three spots and will have FFP breathing room.

I'd definitely keep Fletcher, even if he only plays for 20-45 mins in the second half. All these kids we have can use someone with experience to protect them calm them down and guide them, something which Campbell has frequently referred to. He's still a very influential person on just about everyone. Then he can retire gracefully in the summer.

The misery is over. One of the biggest waste of money and wages our club has had to endure. Never took a man on, hid on the touch line for three years and never received a ball while running always stationary. The playground skills and tricks never fooled the faithful. Good riddance.

That'll be the last of him in a Stoke shirt then, what a waste of £10m plus all the wages that has been. I wonder if he has cleared his locker out already or left a few bits behind and will return in May to do that.
Do we have to pay him another month after loan ends until the end of June, if so get him cleaning the gutters or something

It never worked out for him but successive managers have also been complicit i hoping he would get chalk on his boots. He's always been better as a #8 in my view. I don't blame him for the inflated fee £10m was a daft amount of money for a relegated club. There is no doubt elsewhere he did much better. He went hiding in games for sure but he had the skill which many of the donkeys he played with didn't.

Talented and with a football brain, but never looked like he had the self belief or aggression needed to impose himself on games as he probably could have done. We do have some decent attacking options so the right move in terms of our doomed playoff push

Seems like a decent enough bloke. Talented and obviously lots of ability.
But sadly whenever I think of him I’ll think of the horrible slide into mediocrity and anonymity that we’ve seen.
It’s obviously not his fault. But he was hardly part of the solution either.

Good luck to him.
Few bright moments and a few very good performances but a real lack of consistency to follow it up.
A lot of money spent and I don’t think we got the best pet of the deal.

Good luck to him. My only issue with him is on the field, most people know his tricks now. When used recently he has looked less predictable in terms of play.

Apart from his spell under Rowett and a few decent games of late he’s been a dreadful signing for how much was paid. Thanks for the winner against Derby with 10 men though👍

Poor work ethic for much of his time at the club, completely inappropriate comments about Bojan (who was a decent bloke) and just generally seems like a bit of an arse licker. Awful signing by the club, good riddance.

He will have to play 15 good games for Reading in the rest of this season or he could be on the dole in the summer. Which is a big ask for someone who is lazy by nature.
