I know in not watching live at the ground anymore but I did for nigh on 50 years. Their still my club. I'm hurting watching this shit.
What is O,Neill thinking when we set up to pass around the back with players who can’t do it. Harwood-Bellis,Fox,Chester etc certainly cannot. We then have Baker as the only one ready to accept the ball ,as Clucas doesnt want it and Allen incapabable of receiving and passing it so across it goes to the wingabacks
The wing backs either hit it down the line and Brown missscontrols or it goes backwards into trouble as the back three play amongst themselves.
We are so slow & predictable in our play. Hence why we’ve had si many matches in the past couple of months where we have created absolutely nothing. Not even a shot on goal.
The squad we have, its strengths are to attack yet we mostly have seven players in our own half. Oneil produces this negative shit. Other teams players on a pittance compared to ours. Get him gone now were Stoke City. FC not Wycombe fuckin Wanderers.

I think he deserves the season personally but if we carry on like we have recently and end up mid table fodder then at the end of the season he should go
Also more managers will be available at that point

I don't agree on getting rid. But if it happened at the end of the season because we finish 15th or worse. I'd go for the old Norwich boss Daniel Farke, he had them destroying the championship with much less quality than we have.

I think that MON is actually a decent Manager who has done well at Stoke in very difficult circumstances, well apparently, off the field at least, and he deserves credit for that.
The problem or issue is on the pitch and a club lives or dies by its results. Our best star players are in attack but are rarely used effectively, if at all, and we do not produce a consistent goal threat. What is the point of developing a young talented squad as we have now if you don't know how to use it. Michael is not a tactician and I feel that he has taken the club as far as he can go.
He probably has a few weeks to prove that he can turn things around and if he is still floundering then we should be looking elsewhere and planning for next season.

He’s taken us from relegation certainties to mid table. But we’ve stalled. The squad we have should be more than capable of sustaining a top six place He’s got credit in the bank for now but if we don’t finish strongly questions have to be asked

And to replace him with ....................... ????? Always love this one. It's not Joe Average on The Oatcake's job to find a replacement is it? It's a big world out there. Had you heard of, say, Pochettino before he turned up at Southampton (I'm just using him as an example by the way)?

I'd seriously doubt that, football isn't played on paper you know. Also, I've got to say, he also turned them into a complete embarrassment of a Premier League team once they went up, and not just once. I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole if I was appointing a new manager at Stoke.

Fortunately our owners have got their heads on right and O'Neill won't be leaving Stoke anytime soon. Got their heads on right, have you been in a coma for the last six years? These are the people who kept Hughes in a job for too long and then appointed Lambert. They nearly oversaw two relegations in three seasons and have presided over six years of decline- well run clubs don't do that. Our current state is all on them. Once the crowd turns, the manager is usually sacrificed and I just get the feeling we're heading down that road. It's close to getting toxic

I would be amazed if we sacked him, 1 can we afford to? 2 who would take this poison place over? 3 who could we afford due FFP? 4 The apathy reeks the place out, from the boardroom to the boothern end

Silver Linings Thankfully, the Oatcake isn't going to hire the next one. Some of the names being mentioned on here in the past couple of months trigger my gag reflex.

I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole if I was appointing a new manager at Stoke. He lost his two of his most integral players in Skipp and Buendia. The replacements didn't fill the gaps and his preferred style of play, the 4-2-3-1 suffered as a result. Pity he's in a job, because I think the players we currently have best suit a 4-2-3-1 and you need a top manager like Farke who knows how to slot our players into that formation.

Then replace him in the summer.
