www.hbvl.be/cnt/dmf20220108_97261925Will Anderlecht lose mercenary Taylor Harwood-Bellis to Stoke City?Anderlecht is in danger of losing one of its central defenders. The English second division team Stoke City is after Taylor Harwood-Bellis (19). Highly-rated young Man City centre-half. Did well at Blackburn last season, and has been at Anderlecht

Taylor Harwood-Bellis could already leave the #RSCA this winter, to be loaned to Stoke City The 4 parties must however find an agreement

www.nieuwsblad.be/cnt/dmf20220108_97213952?He is rented this season by RSCA from Manchester City. The England U23 international started in Brussels as a basic player but lost his place to Lisandro Magallan. Stoke City, the number 8 in the Championship, now wants to give him new opportunities. The question is whether the Purple & White can convince his mother club Man City to keep him in Belgium or will they let him go? They are looking at it internally, but the Englishman is open to a new club. Because Hannes Delcroix is fit again after his knee injury, there is some margin in the defense.

Blackburn fans loved him last season. Strange that he's not getting into the Anderlecht team given his reputation.

When did double barrelled names stop being the preserve of posh people?
At my state primary no child had more than one last name.
Apparently now 11% of people aged between 18 and 34 double-barrell their surname when they get married.
Keeping up with the Smith-Joneses I guess!

A highly rated 19 Year old center back on Loan from a Manchester club having spent time in Belgium. Sounds familiar.

www.skysports.com/football/news/2343537/stoke-seal-les-mauves-coup"Junior is one of the most talented players in Belgium at the moment," said Boskamp. "Anderlecht said that we could take him for the season and I was very suprised because I thought it wouldn't be possible." On Kolar, he added: "I think the people will be crazy about him as people were crazy about Hoekstra. "He has the same kind of magic in his left foot that Hoekstra did. Well, if he's as good as the last Anderlecht-Stoke moves....

Why would they allow him to leave?
He’s played in their most recent games from the look of it.

“ He’s a Rolls Royce of a centre-back buddy, believe me. Right-footed but can play on the left-side and he can play in a back three if he has an experienced head alongside him”
From a Blackburn journo I know.

Not good enough to be a guaranteed starter for Anderlecht? Hmmm!

Great so we let one young good prospect loanee centre back go back because he couldn't get in the first team and now we're looking at another - what is the point? Is he going to come here and sit on the bench which he could do in Anderlecht or will he be a replacement for Batth or Wilmot with MON seemingly turning back to a 4-3-3. Surely a DCM would be a better option. Gouranga.

Probably yet another youngster we’re going to pin the weight of expectation and unrealistic hopes on to save our season, if he joins us.

That's the thing - is he Better than Batth, I couldn't say as I can't recall seeing him play, he isn't good enough to get in the Anderlecht team but even if he is better than Batth I can't see MON dropping Batth for him so who's going to give way so he can get in the team - Wilmot? Gouranga.

Yeah I don't recall any double barrelled names at our school either. It’s increasingly obvious our transfer activity is based solely on whether they could be characters in Downton Abbey (this youth), or Goodnight Sweetheart (Alfie Doughty). Saves watching the fuckers 25 times, I suppose.

Rovers fans i know said he was more a modern day centre half finding his feet and improving thanks playing alongside Lenihan the Rovers main centre back. They also had Branthwaite from everton in last couple of years who was just a unit. This season they signed van Heck from Brighton whom is more Souttar type (as shown at the bet365 recently) when we signed Ostigard a more defensive and championship experience defender, not a negative it is what we needed at the time.

Alot of it is to do with the "power to females" movement I believe. They don't want to / shouldn't lose their last name so choose to keep it and go double barreled and some of the time, the male takes on the females surname and becomes double barrelled. Nothing to do with the classes anymore
