So what happens when Russia/China take these country’s? Surely the local population would be very hostile to it, and it’d be impossible for the Russians/Chinese to settle there? And if putin ventures West, how’s he going to keep law and order with civilians carrying out attacks on a daily basis? I don’t claim to have much knowledge about it, but certainly seems an odd course to take for the sake of a bit of land, not like they’re short on the stuff! Russia has practice and use a technique called "filtration", plus they brainwash the kids. People are sent through concentration camps, those loyal to their country instead or Putin are tortured, enslaved or killed. They did it in Chechnya and Donbas, and now those areas provide piles of meat for Russia's current invasion. Russia's fake "Donetsk People's Republic" reported casualty numbers until they were silenced in 2022. About 5% of all fighting age men were killed or wounded in under a year. That's like the UK taking 500k casualties in 10 months. Russia's problem atm is they can't produce enough vehicles and ammo but are using up all the soviet stores - when those run out they're fucked. I think the plan is that if Ukraine can be beaten and half occupied, the pro-dictator politicians will say "see we have peace now we should relax the sanctions". Russia will trade oil for Chinese weapons and be able to rebuild for the next invasion. They'll mobilise a million people from occupied Ukraine as meat shields in front of the million+ russian soldiers. Thant sounds truly horrific. I just thought that now country’s have had a good run living in a democracy, and with all the things that come with it (inc freedom of news social media etc) then they’d be more than reluctant to go back. The Ukrainians seem very proud people and are brave as fuck, I imagine the poles would be the same. Worlds a big mess atm, trying not to watch as much news nowadays it’s truly depressing

The "second army in the world" just lost another BTR-50, last built over 50 years ago.
Also more offroad "golf carts" from China as well. Sometimes 8 invaders are holding on when they blow up. Not showing pics because they're always full of corpses.
Still at least weeks away from the Czech shell deliveries, and months from F-16s.
Ukrainian politicians are still delaying mobilisation so they're getting a lot of defenders needlessly killed as well. Western politicians did similar with F-16s etc.

Zelenskyy expects a major new russian offensive towards the end of May.
They're already going hard all over the place, rumours that russia is moving lots of reserves and equipment north to attack from Luhansk oblast. They might be aiming for Kharkiv, Ukraine's second largest city.
The only way russia can succeed is if western aid is slow. The republicans have helped Putin so much, Ukraine would have had $5 billion more in equipment and ammo by now otherwise.

Russian strategic bombers launched again.
The republicans have delayed even debating aid until at least April to give Putin a chance to destroy more power stations and kill more Ukrainians.

I’m certainly no expert but I’ve caught a couple of callers on Talkradio recently and I’m interested to know peoples opinions on the callers views
- From a caller claiming to be an expert. That Russia were toying with Ukraine and that they could win at any time they wanted and that if the U.K. / Nato got involved that such is the level of Russias weaponry we’d get massacred in hours.
- That Russia/China will invade the U.K. and that we’ve let our military go to pot so much that we could only defend ourselves for 2 months, but that we have finally started a 5 year program to strengthen but it’ll take time.

Almost a hundred drones and missiles launched last night with most shot down, but hits on the power network.
Most of these are successful only because republicans have blocked new US air defence supplies for six months.
I think the republican plan is to (1) save Putin's army, (2) help russia hurt and kill as many Ukrainians as possible, in the hope that Ukraine will eventually give up and surrender.
One way to stop this is to give Ukraine the missiles they need to hit missile launch sites.

Maybe they are an expert, but in flower arranging or something? Superpowers who could win at any time always go begging to North Korea and they're only using 1950s tanks to give Ukraine a fair chance

Just shout classic thing you do when you're a superpower who's easily winning!; What you mean mate? Oops there was a typo and I tried to link this. Russian units were boasting about how their DIY rocket launchers made of rusty old metal crap. Because they can't get enough good rockets and rocket launchers. I mean - it's smart to use what you've got. But also you wouldn't be using T-54s and old metal pipes as rocket launchers if you had a top secret army hiding somewhere and ready to win the war easily, would you?

It's propaganda mate. Russia has enough to grind away for a while but without the Republicans on his side, Putin wouldn't even have any real hope of victory at all. Do you remember the Prigozhin mutiny? Putin could only summon armoured jeeps and BTRs to protect Moscow. No tanks, because Moscow's elite 1st Guards Tank Army got battered in Ukraine! The most modern army doesn't use T-54s, or lose 4-5 tanks for every Ukrainian one it can take out. Maybe I'm wrong of course, I'm no expert, but what this lad said is just silly when you look at what's going on...

Russia launched another huge armoured attack outside Avdiivka, reliable sources say 36 tanks and 12 BMPs involved.
The Ukrainians say they took out about 20 of them and there's no "breakthrough" but no info on whether they captured any defences.
(Tweet says March 2023 but that's a typo, it just happened)

Someone's been counting Russian air attacks.
They've obviously got fewer cruise missiles nowadays. They almost stopped firing completely for two months to save up, and even then they haven't fired as many as back in 2022 and 2023.
Instead there are so so many Shahed drones.

The intel people think that Russia is going really hard now to try and break through before the European ammo starts arriving... Which should begin later this month.

Jesus fucking Christ...
The videos coming out today aren't like anything I remember.
Other weeks with huge russian losses were usually a big attack in one place, like Bilohorivka (May 2022) Vulhedar (Feb 2023), Avdiivka (Oct 2023).
Now we're seeing russian columns getting smashed across the whole front, at least 4 places so far.
Doesn't mean the attacks all happened in one day, just that the videos are out today.

Jesus fucking Christ... The videos coming out today aren't like anything I remember. Update: one team found 50!! russian tanks and infantry fighting vehicles hit on video that came out yesterday. There could be more footage to come. Russia is trying what the yanks would call a full court press and it seems like they've scraped together a lot more equipment to keep going for a while. Looks like we have an answer about whether they'd calm down after Putin's "election".

Estonia has found another million shells for sale. Ukraine also says it's making 8 Bohdana artillery pieces per month, and France+Denmark are sending 78 this year. That's enough mobile artillery to replace Ukraine's losses and enough ammo to make russia's upcoming offensives a really bad idea. Republicans blocking anti-aircraft missiles for Ukraine means Russia can still hope to advance thanks to destroying power plants and mass dropping glide bombs though.

Kharkiv is a city of over a million people.
Killing or turning many of them into refugees would be a huge victory for Putin and his allies in NK, Iran and the republican party. 😢

Comments from a Ukrainian artillery commander: last summer he could shoot any good targets he saw. In October the orders changed and he had to request permission. He found a Russian artillery battery in the open, but was told there was so little ammo he couldn't shoot. The russians got to survive and pound Ukrainian defences.
But now he says they're getting many times more ammo and just yesterday they took out three russian guns.
It sounds like the effect of the republican blockade was felt very quickly, and that the upcoming Czech supplies are already making a huge difference.
