Said from the very off that NATO will be at war with Russia, inevitable really then you watch China start their tricks. I think Poland will play a major part in the start.
The Likes of Iran and North Korea need teaching a serious lesson then hopefully people will realise NATO/YSA mean business.

Russian Il-76 transport aircraft crashed in Russia's Belgorod Oblast on Jan. 24 at around 11 a.m. local time, the Russian state news agency RIA Novosti reported, citing the country's Defense Ministry.
Ukrainska Pravda reported, citing its sources in the Ukrainian military, that the plane was carrying S-300 missiles. This information was also provided to Ukrinform by its military sources.

The plane only yesterday flew over Egypt then turned of its transmitter, reported as being seen Iran later. The flight trajectory from this morning had it on a North, North West route which is away from Ukraine. Apparently Russia has a list of Ukrainian prisoners on board which basically means these prisoners were probably murdered in Russian prisons and they’re trying to cover up their atrocities It turns out that not one, but 17 of the list of alleged Ukrainian POWs in the Il-76 have been identified as prisoners of war that were already exchanged early January this year. The list therefore looks to be unreliable.

ok after what i have seen in the last few days i agree with @jefffisch .
the UKRAF looks like it is sneaking german style patriot launchers to the front line and doing raids with them. sneak in, quick shoot, haul ass out of the area.
this is the most audacious use of a high alt long range system i have ever seen....
what they have done is take a strategic air defense system you normally need about 2-3sq KM to set up and run... and turned it into a long range stinger system. amazing. this goes against every book ever written about ADA employment... and its working. you can not do this with the american type system as easily.
doing so now pushes the front line back for russia 130 to 160 KM...

If true then yet another audacious and brilliant manoeuvre by the Ukrainians. Here's an article with a pie chart of possibilities - he thinks a Patriot is better than 50:50. Russian long-range AA (S-300/400) is unlikely because they supposedly network with the plane they shot down. Russian short-range (Pantsir, Tor) unlikely because the plane barely got in range of any of them. He puts a decent (~1 in 3) chance of a Russian Buk since they have range and don't have good identification tech. A Russian Buk shot down flight MH17.

Large consignments of POWs not likely to be transported by aircraft. More likely road/rail. Definitely hoping for that. Russia says the plane flew Moscow to Belgorod. Never heard of POW camps in Moscow, they're nearer the front in all articles, interviews etc I've seen. Russian strategic airlift is limited & valuable, why do that instead of trains? I'm worried that russia wants an excuse to stop POW exchanges because they torture prisoners and want to keep stories off the front pages. Maybe they're picking through morgues for the corpses of Ukrainians they tortured to death, and will be racing to scatter them around the crash site right now 😢 Or Russia knew the plane was vulnerable and sacrificed it for propaganda. Seems unlikely to me though, it's a very valuable asset.

Read a report that Russian crash investigators were removed pretty quick by the military to protect the crash site.

Interesting - what are the rumours suggesting has been taken? Didn’t say mate but the flight path from the 23/1 has it Iran only a day before, There seems to be some real confusion over exactly which plane went down. One of the possibilities was in Iran the day before, but I don't think it's 100% confirmed that's what went down? Probably gonna take a few days at least to be sure.

Ukrainian command has been very muted, and Zelenskyy has been cancelling things and talking about getting info.
It looks very much like Ukraine doesn't know for sure who or what was on that plane.
All a bit worrying.

No gore in this one... But it's what I've been seeing loads of since October.
Russia seemingly doesn't have all the vehicles it needs any more, so soldiers are carried around on top even close to the front. Usually they'd only do that out of attack range.

Another Russian Gas/Oil terminal hit overnight, early reports are suggesting it’s totally destroyed, wait and see I suppose. Additionally the USA look like releasing 11.5 billion in aid to Ukraine very soon.
Based on Ukrainian daily reports Russian losses for the past 24 hours are incredible..
It’s obvious that there’s a Russian push but they’re getting hammered, videos of lines and lines of burnt out Russian armour.
Russian losses per 25/01/24 reported by the Ukrainian general staff.
+950 men +30 tanks +42 APVs +59 (!) artillery pieces +1 MLRS +1 AD system +35 UAVs +2 cruise missiles

It's insane.

Igor Strelkov, the terrorist russian military commander who murdered 298 innocents on flight MH17, has been sentenced to prison for 4 years.
The crime was criticising Putin. He also said he would run against Putin in the upcoming russian "elections".

What are people’s thoughts on all this ramping up of war talk, conscription etc.
Is it simply, we’re 2 months before budget, and so the military heads are putting the pressure on?
The media are lapping it up also. It’s likethey are already accepting WW3 is coming, so let’s prepare. Or is it just mass scaremongering to divert from other issues?
Very disconcerting stuff.

Videos prove russia is still pretty much stuck near the rail line north of Avdiivka that they captured 10-17th October. Likely thousands of russians have died or been wounded along this area.
They're sending waves of meat straight into the city from the south, just like in Bakhmut.
The Republicans cut off US ammunition supplies so they might manage to tilt things for Putin to get a win in Avdiivka. It's still on a knife edge.

Russia doing full on attacks everywhere. In the north they've lost around 50 tanks and armoured vehicles so far just around a tiny village called Terny.
Overall this could be good if Ukraine has enough ammo to ride out this offensive, russia is still losing tanks and BMPs far faster than they're building them, so they'll either need a breather this year or be limited to a few major attacks in 2025.

Ukraine have taken receipt of cluster tank shells containing 2000 ball bearings and drones equipped with 2kg warheads that are mincing Russian armour.
Lots of videos of Russians lying motionless with drones above them pretending to be dead, crazily they hold two grenades in their hands so if they’re hit by the drones and severely wounded their grenades will finish them off rather than suffering

Terrifying rumours started today from Ukrainian sources, claiming Zelenskyy fired Supreme Commander Zaluzhnyi.
The ministry of defence and a spokesperson for the Ukrainian government have denied them.
I desperately hope these are silly rumours.
Zaluzhnyi has a reputation as being smart and loved by the soldiers. He seems careful with their lives and strategically smart. He will also say things that are helpful for the war even if it's politically difficult... General Syrksyi is a potential replacement and the soldiers seem to think he's a wastrful idiot who pointlessly destroys their morale.

The vast majority of Russian recruits were initially from rural areas of low education where the primary job supplier was the armed forces. Can you imagine having the thought go through your head to hold onto a couple of grenades so at least it can be quick? I can’t.
