Not long now! Fancy joe Cullen and Johnny Clayton to go well.. some big prices out there, especially if the faves get a dose of Covid. Just purchased a dart stand and light, great set up now 🍺😂 Any other darters out there👀 played about 30 legs on an app and ave around the 60 mark which I thought was half decent🤔

Used to be fairly decent at darts, averaging low 70’s at one point around 15 years ago. Decided to purchase a new Blade 5 board during lockdown and was initially absolutely useless, averaging about high 40’s👀. Managed to get that up to low 60’s after purchasing around a dozen sets of arrers and found a mid length 22 gram about right.
As for the championship I have a feeling Mighty Mike might just find his groove again but Gerwyn is ruthless (and a total prick).
Sadly the sport is lacking characters at the moment, hopefully we’ll see a few stories in the worlds.

Used to average around 50-60 when practising, and have done an 11 darter before now. Got to the last dart of a 9 darter and complete shit myself going for double 18.
Missus took over the 'practice room' for other stuff and the board is now in the loft. Probably for the best...

What happened to Aidey Lewis, used be brilliant he did🤷🏼♂️

bloody hell mate wish I was that good! I find I hit 2 treble 20s surprisingly often then always fuck the last dart up🤦🏻♂️Normally in the 1.. doubles are a problem as well 16s or 8s, otherwise I’m useless

Lost to Peter Wright and they had a right barny at the end. Lewis called him “a fucking cheat”🤣 I used to spend entire Sundays in the pub playing darts and got decent. Like you say a few beers definitely helps you relax but once you’re over that line it’s all downhill😏

It was more luck than judgement I think and the last dart summed it up. Think it went out of the board
A lot of it is muscle memory and the big players are so used to playing once they hit that level that most probably don't even need to look at the board. Lewis used to do it quite regularly. Your issue of messing up the last dart in the trble 20 bed is quite common. Doubles is just practice, practice and more practice.

To quote Jim Bowen “trebles for show, doubles for dough”😀 Bang right as well, although obviously you need the trebles to hit the doubles🤷🏻♂️

Used to play quite a lot but my disability has messed that up and no darts team anymore after things changed during the long Covid break. Still love the game though.
Lewis can still be world class if he starts putting a bit more oomph in his throw. When he does he’s excellent but too often his been throwing soft and he’s bang average then. Durrant has no chance, he’s been shite for quite a while now. I’d like to see Cullen go well but like Smith he’s a bit of a choker on the stage so I fancy Wade for that quarter. The bottom quarter is packed full of talent.
I really hope Searle does well and that the crowd show Sherrock’s opponent(s) a bit more respect than they did two years ago. I think Price will retain if he beats Clayton.

It was shit when the crowd were booing Ted Evetts in particular. A junior player let’s not forget. Wade just can’t seem to get to the business end, think his best years are behind him.

His quarter isn’t that strong though. VDB can be hit and miss and like I said about Cullen. I think the fans have now seen what a good player Sherrock can be on the stage, they’ve been less vocal against her opponents since, hopefully that carries on. That being said the crowds have been a lot quieter since Covid anyway.

Can't see past Price retaining. I hope he doesn't because I can't stand the bloke!
Wright could be an interesting one. He looked a little bit dodgy at the Player's Championship. Could do with finding a little bit of form.
Clayton could be a decent shout, as could Searle as a bit of a dark horse. Wade seems to be up there, and of course you can never rule out MvG, because if he hits form you're done for.
I think if you look at the pool past Price, it's quite open (which goes without saying of course, it's a championship) but I think we have more quality competitors than we have for a long time.

As soon as I got to Shanghai remaining he turned it on and checked out I used to drink in the Princess in Dresden when Andy “the hammer” Hamilton had it. Went in one night and he was playing John “darth maple” Part in the darts room. They invited me in for a game an were merciless🤦🏻♂️. Hamilton was a sound guy but Part was an absolute gent, a real genuine guy.

One of the best things about the Xmas break is the darts. Bozo better not ruin it and ban fans. Think Price is worthy favourite and will be a surprise if its not him, MVG, Wright or Clayton lifting the trophy.
So many good players coming through now tho. Rob Cross is getting some form back and looks a decent price to back. Think Luke Humphries and Callan Rydz could perform well at the world's
