We are just waiting for Neville to transition 'fru the middwle' and become Sky's woke political commentator, Both Gray and Terry just looked bemused and a little uncomfortable oh where has the joy in football gone?

ok great we have got lgbtq+ in before a ball is kicked, although I ask what the plus is for! can anyone confirm if it refers to minor attracted person? At some point we have got to get in climate change and carbon neutral and western colonial oppression! Of course. You shouldn’t be persecuted for being something that is natural. It’s abhorrent and hopefully the issues will keep being raised as people like yourself and the post above keep on mocking such issues. Abhorrent

Known racist and known misogynist looking uncomfortable at someone trying to point out massive issues that they’ll want to sweep under the carpet. I wonder why.

To even hold a sporting event in a country who treat women like second class citizens and interfere with peoples personal sexual preferences was a big mistake by FIFA!

I can't believe you're actually buying into this shit. The hypocrisy of these guys is just beyond belief. They are out in Qatar, living a life of absolute luxury, watching the most prestigious tournament on the planet, staying in 5 star hotels, dining in the nation's most glamorous restaurants, earning an absolute fortune while claiming that staying at home was "the easy option". Can you not see how ridiculous this is?

What are you proposing, that we somehow change the laws of their religion that they adhere to out there? As Alex says, I am not LGBTQ+ so will never understand the issues she confronts, but then again she will never understand the troubles I face either. She is a BBC darling, a well paid Metrpolitian London Lovee. Im trying to not go broke heating my home this winter and reducing my food bills.

Can you not see how ridiculous this is? I think people would have more respect if they were honest and said they were doing it for the money. Danny Murphy at least admitted he’d do it for the money when Beckham was raised the other day.

Are you literally being paid to put out this stuff? 😂 Its nearly as mental as your post around all Russians being evil on the Ukraine thread. He owes me and many others countless responses from the coronavirus thread as well as an apology for being wrong. Maybe once he does that I'll acknowledge him. What I will say though is your Alex Scott post re-emphasises my earlier point. This is not simply an attack on Qatar's past with migrant deaths building stadiums or the brown envelopes in awarding a non footballing nation this prestigious event - But it is becoming an all out assault on their religious laws and customs. They are not laws and customs we agree with, but while we are in their country, they should be respected. These are not laws unique to Qatar but are seen widely across the Islamic world - Which is their choice. In exactly the same way, any nation's local laws and customs should be respected by foreigners. Out of interest, did you or the guy on the previous page ever post around boycotting watching the Russia World Cup in 2018 while civilians and teenagers on the front line were being slaughtered by the day in the Donbass and prior to that, in Crimea? Presumably you boycotted the semis against Croatia?

All deplomatic ties should have ceased and we should have been on a war footing with them. As they’ve shown in the last 9 months it’s the only language they understand and they invariably back down.

It'd be very interesting to see what his colleagues do if he's booked as soon as he walks onto the pitch. The FA have been very vocal about their intention to stand by him. Bale too.

Surely if that happens the England and Wales teams(who are also supposed to be wearing it) could walk out of the World Cup?

Why do we need to be on a war footing with Russia, it makes no sense, how would we fight this war and where? I think they are pissed off with Liz Truss's text message after the Nordstream was blown up which seems to suggest they think we were involved.

Bloody sick of this world cup already. Watched the 10 minutes of BBC at 3pm. Then turned off and watched only fools and horses.
What a load of absolute bollocks all this media coverage is. Can't be doing with it. Bring back the world cup

Exactly if we had a backbone and felt that strongly we should have pulled out before the qualifying stages. I would have been in full support of that to tell FIFA the corrupt wankers to fuck off. That would have made a massive statement. Wearing an armband now and "raising awareness" will do fuck all. The Qatari state don't give a shit and in 2 months time life goes back to normal there and you won't hear a thing over here about human rights issues in Qatar
