The second time this season the ref hasn't played the MINIMUM (think it was Barnsley at home). Aren't these the basics of the fucking job? 90 91 92 93 94 95 96 97 98 There are 9 numbers there which means 9 minutes have passed 😃 So you believe that a minimum of 9 extra minutes were played after the 90?

Your maths needs checking. When it gets to 98 on the clock you move into the 99th minute but 99 minutes aren't completed until the clock moves to 100. You have forgotten that the first minute starts at zero. The ref should blow as soon as the clock turns to 99 minutes if there is 9 minutes of injury time if he is playing the minimum time. ( He would finish it bang on 90 if there were no injury time). And he blew on 98 mins 40 seconds so blew 20 seconds early??? Also take into account the sending off which wasn't added.

Absolutely horrendous from the ref and liners tonight They should have had a red, 2 pens for us and then he even blows before the MINIMUM of 9 minutes added time When it gets to 98 on the clock in your corner, that means 9 minutes has passed mate. Do the maths. Eh? He blew at 98 mins and 20 seconds so how’s that 9 minutes?

We should have been given a penalty for that ridiculous rugby tacking that was going on from our corner in the second half. They are analysing to now on sky it’s an outrageously poor decision from the red. Three Stoke players are clearly being impeded. What is the assistant referee looking at in that? He must have had a great view of the Ostigard challenge - the ball clearly isn’t going out of play so what’s he watching? watching the ball? Like most Dads running the line every weekend. We should just feel lucky that he wasn't wearing his jeans

It was 8 mins 30 when he blew. We had an attacking throw in too.

Do the maths. So by this logic if there is 3 minutes added time the game should end at 92 mins? Im not sure if you’re joking here?

The ref indicated at least 9 minutes added on but blew his whistle before the clock reached 99. You never see a match end with the clock on 89 even if there is no injury time. At least means he will play at least until the clock reaches 99 but may play past then if there is an injury, substitution or time wasting. Academic and nit picking I know but my maths is correct

Fairly sure most of their long throws were foul throws too - his back foot lifted each time Saying that we wouldnt have scored if we played until Friday Shocking finishing from likeable but awful up front Brown x 2, Fletcher x 3, Doughty, Allen x 2, Campbell add to that list Sawyers who refuses to head a ball! Hit him in the chest for that reason. Should have buried it with his bonce!!

Sorry yes my mistake, but the ref blew before the clock reached 99 which is equivalent of blowing before it reaches 90 or 45 with no injury time.

Highly frustrating our finishing was woeful and that was the main reason we lost.
But officials were awful how on earth can the liner not see either Batth having his shirt ripped off or Ostigard wrestled to the ground with the defender not once even looking in the direction of the ball is beyond me.
But worst is the sheer inconsistency of refereeing decisions. The challenge on Vrancic was awful and must be a red. Compare that to the non event Surridge got red for Saturday and then tonight a leg breaking challenge goes unpunished.
That is without the 50/50 pen calls on Tymon 1st minute when he stayed on his feet and the pull on Chester 2nd half.
No doubt we would have missed any penalty anyway.
Onwards and upwards let's hope we perform Saturday

I have misunderstood and didn’t see the clock. I’ll hold my hands up. What I was getting at, which is something fans do, is forget 0 is the 1st minute and the 90th is 89th etc

It’s just the inconsistency for me
The non red was a shocker. It was a far challenge than the one Tommy Smith got a straight red for.
The messing around with throw ins was frustrating but we can’t really complain.
The pulling at the corner was unbelievable that there was no pen.
and the red for Allen wasn’t going to be given till the Bristol players surrounded the ref.
I’m sure ever fan says it but it does feel like we’ve had more go against us than for this season.

It’s not the first time Oliver I hate Stoke City Langford has failed to give us penalties or send opposition players off Benik Afobe clean through at Forest under Rowett gets bought down by the keeper who Langford fails to send off Middlesbrough away in O’Neill’s first season stonewall penalty on Clucas not given

I have misunderstood and didn’t see the clock. I’ll hold my hands up. What I was getting at, which is something fans do, is forget 0 is the 1st minute and the 90th is 89th etc Yes this is correct but the 90th minute doesn't end till 90 minutes come up on the clock just like in a race when you are leading you still have to cross the finish line at the end of that final lap to win. 9 minutes of injury ends when then the clock strikes 10 minutes and has been mentioned earlier it is recorded as a minimum so technically it ends at 10. So the ref blew up early, they could/should of had a player sent off, back in the day we had plenty of pens given away for exactly the same thing, no it's not maybe the reason we lost but we get a pen and score it changes everything but we are our own worst enemy!

Another 2 minutes that we would never have scored in a million years in 😂 Don't disagree but it's the principal. Some teams seem to be given as long as possible to score a la Fergie time but it's the second time this season that I've seen referees blow up early. It's almost as if referees can't wait to ensure we lose. I still think we suffer from the reputation we garnered under Pulis and referees are unwittingly (or even wittingly in some cases) always giving the benefit of doubt to the opposition - if their player goes down it has to be a foul because that's what Stoke are like.
