I assume there is something in his loan agreement that says he cant play against us ? Can we amend it ? Yes it's the rules so all our houses are safe from an Afobe brace

Possibly but if the question is who is better I’m not sure there’s any evidence to suggest the answer fletcher , surridge , Madje, amend paring with £5m in the getting to it , it’s all well and good celebrating players bein moved out but if the replacement is no beetle or worse as was feared at the time then trouble awaits , Baht v Moore , another one Can someone translate please. We’ve signed abject shit to replace shit and spent £5m in the process

I think you will find that we gift anybody who puts pressure on our defence the opportunity to score.

This business of strikers lighting up after they leave here is getting dull too. Nobody's gone on to be Pele, but you know what I mean. I can't believe the club hasn't noticed this.
Our tactics aren't aggressive enough on a consistent basis. Playing around with ourselves in the back a little too much, we're gonna go blind if we keep it up.
Earlier in the season, we had dangerous people up forward with no service. Now we have crosses to nobody because only one guy made the run.
If we ever combine the two, look out!

"Lighting up" might have been a little too strong in his case, yes.
Just a shame, we're paying him to score goals for someone else. I feel cheap.

It’s staggering how much money we’ve pissed up the wall on forwards, Afobe, Berahino, Vokes come to mind in this division and we’re still at square one whereby we couldn’t hit a cows arse with a banjo, laughable to think Surridge was the answer, we go from bad to worse then rinse and repeat. There’s games where we should be out of sight scoring wise, waste the chances then comes the inevitable cock up at the back and we end up with nothing And we never gave Diouf a run which might just have stopped us buying all those wasters. Afobe and Vokes never made sense at the price paid, Berahino was a gamble worth taking at the time, if we had turned his career around like we did with Arnie we would have easily doubled+ our money. Arnie was intelligent and willing to learn, Berahino is neither of those things.

Aggregate fees on surrudge and Madja and you can add loan costs on sima to that whether we recovered it on surridge or not it’s not been great use of capital , i excluded brown as I think wide right hes a role and its not his fault we keep playing him as a centre forward , the Rest are just garbage

Even though he's done okay, presumably his wages mean the best we can do is send him off to Rowett next season on loan then wave him goodbye at last? londonnewsonline.co.uk/millwall-boss-will-be-watching-sheffield-uniteds-trip-to-qpr-and-hails-ice-cool-stoke-loanee-benik-afobe/“For us to bring in a player on loan who has not done as much in the past couple of years as he’d have liked, for reasons that a lot are out of his control, probably some people would have criticised the signing.
“But if you look at it he has been a really successful signing. He’s had a big impact on our season and is our top-scorer. I believe still, because I know his quality, that he should have had more – and I said that to him on Tuesday. He should be on 15 at least now.
“That would put him in with the top strikers in the division. Benik has got better and better. If we’re in a position to keep him next season, I think he’d get better again. His confidence is soaring and he’s looking more and more relaxed around the team.
“He can score goals that some of the others wouldn’t score as naturally as him. He’s a really nice guy and fits into the group.” Afobe has another year left to run on his terms at Stoke and Rowett says it is too early to discuss his future.
“I’ve had conversations with some of the players and some I haven’t. If someone has had an impact on your season, much like we’ve talked about desperately trying to keep Jed [Wallace], in some ways he is no different. You’re talking about nearly 20 goals between them.
“It’s very difficult to let that slide and go and replace it very easily. We want the players focused on the job in hand but we will sit down at some point and see where we go in one or two areas. Benik is not our player, so there will be a lot of things out of our hands.”

If not, then we should just delay the inevitable loan out as long as possible if he’s to go back to the Championship.

I was at my local kebab shop here in Moscow last year and got chatting to the Turkish bloke running the store. He had limited English and limited Russian but we managed to communicate that I was a Stoke fan and he was a Trabzonspor fan. As soon as he heard “Stoke” he said: “Ah - Afobe - please take back, we don’t want”. That’s all I need to hear really.

We should be looking to sell only next season. Might be someone daft enough but obviously wages be the issue.
