It's probably fell down because he has a better offer elsewhere. I wouldn't worry.

This is the worst news since Roland left Grange Hill. Hopefully he's found someone equally as mad to sign him. Roland wasn't mad.

Could personal terms have been a struggle maybe? They may have asked Benny to take a wage cut and he’s probably decided he’d rather just take another Championship loan for a year where we absorb the wage difference.

Personal terms is a nonsense excuse That’s the first thing sorted and the fact he went through the medical procedure says they were already agreed otherwise the medical wouldn’t of happened

www.nieuwsblad.be/cnt/dmf20220625_93410965The transfer of Benik Afobe from Stoke City to Club Brugge seemed long in the making, but is now canceled. The English would ask more for their striker than Blue-Black is willing to pay. Club is now pulling it back to the transfer market, looking for offensive reinforcements.

All these continental clubs seem to play dirty and move the goal posts at the last minute.
The fee must have been agreed or we wouldn't have let him go for the medical would we?

Who knows what the real truth is, but it's hard to recall a transfer collapsing for non-medical reasons once the player has been given permission to fly to another country and actually have a medical. Hard to think of what insurmountable details could have arisen as they were dotting the 'i's and crossing the 't's. Payment schedule or something? Who knows? Hopefully another deal whether it be Watford or Saudi Arabia or wherever can quickly get done and this doesn't shaft us.

Spend the next month teaching him some basic football ability, then reintegrate him into the squad - voila!!

Spend the next month teaching him some basic football ability, then reintegrate him into the squad - voila!! We tried that. Didn’t take. In 2020, MON let him go to Turkey about 3 or 4 weeks after saying this. www.stokecityfc.com/news/2020/july/Boss-looking-forward-to-Benik-s-return/“I’m looking forward to getting Benik Afobe back because that wouldn’t have been a decision I would have endorsed at the time,” the 51-year-old revealed. "I believe Benik can be a real top player in the Championship" “I’m looking forward to getting Benik back in the building and getting the best out of Benik. “Benik was brought to the Club to score goals and I believe he has that capability.”

The only way we'd cause it to get cancelled is if another club came in at the 11th hour offering us more £££.

Wonder if there’s some weird clause / fine print that’s involved in his contract? - it was baffling from the off in the first place that Wolves purchased him solely to then immediately loan with buy to us - that screams to me that it was a transfer done with monetisation being the driving factor from one or two parties involved.

I hope you’re right mind 🤣 Well the only other reason is a failed medical. As already posted it wouldn't have got to medical stage if his contractual stuff wasn't agreed.
