IMHO Collins will be a far better player than Souttar. No disrespect to HS to whom I offer my best wishes for a speedy and successful return to 1st team football He was always the better of the two. He’s 3 years younger and has slotted into the PL like it’s nothing. I have lots of questions about how we wasted him really. Keep them to yourself please…….

I was going to but since you asked. Playing him at right back? Absolutely moronic. And he should have been playing semi regularly from when he turned 17. Not using him as much as we should have done and correctly cost 8/10 million quid.

Saying that I'm sure he will do well, and hopefully he does just that. Are you sure you wouldn't have Chester in the middle instead with his..... experience 🤣🤣🤣

Playing him at right back would have done him no harm whatsoever, many a centre half started their early career dabbling at full back it gives them an all round perspective and helps with their distribution going forward.......

The same comments that we was getting on here - plays like a lad so much older than he is. He really will go to the very, very top. It's a shame we had to shoehorn him in on the right at times but even there he made football look easy.

Either way he's holding his own in the Premier League which is great to see.......

Absolutely. Played a couple of times at full back for the Ireland youth teams. He was good at 16/17 but to say he should have played in the Champ at that age is absolute nonsense. I think was v Romania he had a bit of a a torrid time first half as struggling with the ball over the top. We saw similar at Leeds was it but a tough game for anybody. Lovely player though. As a few have said will go on to be a top class player and like Souttar, MON was spot on in introducing both at the right time to first team football.

He played at right back because he's better at it than Tommy 'can't defend for toffee' Smith, it's quite simple really.

Burnley fans are well impressed with him
They’ll end up selling him for a lot more than they paid for him

If Burnley get relegated any chance we might go back for him ? Burnley's parachute payments would place them in a stronger financial position than us.

If Burnley get relegated any chance we might go back for him ? Burnley's parachute payments would place them in a stronger financial position than us. Because they don't appear to have the level of deadwood that we had on relegation, Burnley would be in a stronger financial position than we were after we got relegated. But, if we got promoted next summer and Burnley got relegated, then our annual income would immediately be £120 million ish whereas theirs would be about half that even with parachute payments - so it is nonsense to say that they would be in a stronger position than us.

Must be easy this manager lark. Why don’t more people do it?

Shame you’ll never get out of your mums basement to do better Shame you haven’t got an original thought. I fear you think that the consensus is seen as ‘group think’ purely because it isn’t on the level of your warped view. How sad
