Though he only got fifteen minutes against poor opposition, he looked like he was making his thirtieth international appearance, rather than his first. He was completely comfortable, demanding the ball, and barking out instructions.
I can’t imagine it would be much considering that it was almost a certainty he would get a chance soon purely based on the fee and the lack of quality in the Ireland team (though their defense isn’t awful, it isn’t exactly amazing either).
He’ll probably take Egan’s place as he gets more Burnley starts, especially in Sheff Utd don’t look like they’ll go back up.
I reckon we probably will have had to agree to an instalment after something like 10/20 starts, which would be a better indicator of his improvement.
I wonder if we’ll be due any money from Burnley after this?
I would very much doubt it as was on the brink of a cap and hardly something to point the finger at the transfer deal over but won't stop the anti Scholes brigade. As someone has said, the one area Ireland actually have a bit of quality. Parrott been a massive let down. Maybe pining for the Fjords
There is a very decent arrangement as part of the transfer of young Irish goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu to Man City(when he was 16) Shamrock Rovers got half a million uo front and get a 100k for every competitive international he plays up to 10. there are similar add ons for competitive matches for City and any future transfers. If he fulfils the promise he is showing he could nearly finance Rovers on his own.
