the only available to the judge Yes that's what I meant Death sentence argument is a tedious argument nothing will persuade those who believe in it that it's right we don't have it Nothing will persuade those who don't believe in it that we should have it If you follow both arguments to their logical conclusion they are both right/both wrong Be surprised if anyone has a new argument, a new angle on the subject The judge in this case has applied the maximum sentence you need a whole life for some beverley allit is entitled to apply for parole now though i believe it was turned down. letby does not deserve to have that light to look forward too. i know its different but you have to feel some for her parents, that is a big burden for them too

Hope they don't hide her away in solitary. Reckon she'll do herself in before the year ends indefinite suicide watch until she can be trusted. that could be 6 months. by the time she is integrated she will be queen of her wing more lifers in the mens prison who dont care about adding to their time

Pity they can't just stone her to death and have done with.

good move by the prison service who have brought her to court so that they cannot be held responsible for her non attendance when she refuses to come up tbh i wasnt convinced of her guilt during the trial purely because i couldnt believe that someone could do it. however, the post its and diary and the staff roster tells a different story. If she was innocent i would be as compliant as i could for an appeal I wasn’t convinced either for the same reason. I thought it was all part of a coverup of a failing unit and Letby was a scapegoat. But what are your thoughts on the press, during her trial, publishing "butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth" type photos portraying a beautiful, friendly and caring person socialising with friends. Then after conviction all these photos disappear and photos showing her as emotionless, unsmiling and almost evil looking. What was the press agenda with those earlier photos I wonder?

You always hear the bad news after conviction. Plus some of the stuff isn’t allowed out until the trial is over

What's the point of a whole life sentence? If they are 100% certain she has done what she did and there is absolutely no evidence it could have been some else then she should be put down like a dog rather than having tax payers pay to keep her alive for god knows how many years. She will get fed, medical attention, clothes and whatever else. I'm all for just getting rid of the bad ones, she could live past 100, who knows.

I will be so pissed if they make a TV series about her and what she did. I'm sick of seeing these sick bastards given any airtime whatsoever. I don't like to see these sick fucks have their name in lights, to me it's wrong on every level.

What turns a sweet innocent young child and seemingly dedicated university graduate on the left to the evil monster on the right. She will be the subject of psychiatric pondering for years to come no doubt. Are there any psychiatric or mental health nurses on here with an opinion. It baffles me. Attachment Deleted

View AttachmentLike I said before if they took her for a CT scan they'd 100% see parts of her brian that aren't wired correctly and aren't firing on all cylinders. Same as Rose West who's mother was subject to eltrotheraphy whilst pregnant with Rose. There will be biological abnormalities for sure.

Seemingly normal, well-bought-up Graduate Nurse, forever going to be mentioned in the same breath as Myra Hindley. Just unbelievable.

She is of no use to society anymore. She won't be paying her way and it's upto the tax payer to fund her survival. I would rather the money spent on someone homeless with the opportunity to pay tax into the system rather than someone who has no value. We have services and everything falling to bits, prisons full and although it might seem uncomfortable or easy she is better off being put down.

the only available to the judge Be surprised if anyone has a new argument, a new angle on the subject I'll have a crack ... In the USA, you are more likely to be found not guilty for murder in states that have the death penalty than in states where they don't (the burden of 'proof' seemingly becoming higher where the ultimate penalty is administered) and jury's not wanting to be seen to make a mistake. Unquestionably, the death penalty is resulting in murderers walking free.

And that's before you consider the UK miscarriages of Justice that would have resulted in the Death Penalty but allowed "Lefty Lawyers" correctly to overturn their convictions

We have services and everything falling to bits, prisons full and although it might seem uncomfortable or easy she is better off being put down. There is evidence from research in USA that a death row inmate, who will often spend many years on appeal through the various courts, costs far more than an inmate on whole life sentence. In our justice system there is no reason to believe it would not be similar in UK.

To be fair if anyone is coloured it’s not black people. Though I completely agree with your comment about the thick racist.
