Great result and performance. If we can get (at least) one of our strikers scoring, the playoffs at the very least are more than achievable. We finally look like a good side - just need to be a bit more ruthless in front of goal as we are creating plenty.

How good was Chester tonight btw? Correct decision to leave out Ostigard Chester was brilliant defending and passing all that you ask. He cleaned up his marking, pressure and passing. He was very good (coming from someone who tbh rightly slated him last few matches). Today, was noticeably different. MON gave him the nod over Ostigard and he excelled. Good to have competition like that now. Whereas, I was worried when Chester started or came on previously, now Im seeing it as good thing for him and Ostigard to fight over starting. No weak links at the back now. |

Tommy Smith was so quick to react for the goal, stunning composure from Powell but Smith played his part, he has been great this season.

Irrespective of the result we have played well tonight. If it didn't before it should now give us the confidence to know that we can compete in this league at the very top. This. We are a decent team at the moment. Thoroughly deserved win. |

Best I've seen us play for a long time. If we could finish we'd be top. Top and with clear distance between us and 2nd. The defence is top quality and we have some individually very creative midfielders like Vrancic. The finishing is holding us back quite a bit. |

A break coming up and Campbell and Sima to throw into the mix. I think we need to consider how and when to play Powell, Vrancic and Sawyers to give us balance and fresh legs when needed. Good to see Alfie chomping at the bit too. Davies had a mixed game. Poor kicking and the stupid handball when he even have headed it if he hadn’t had a rush of blood. Bursik may well come back.

Valerian Ishmael seems like a decent and honest guy. Props to him for admitting several times, unprompted, during the interview that Stoke deserved to win.
He also said we were the best team they have played so far!
