I think other posters have adequately added to the clear point I was making. It's pretty ridiculous to have a lock 'em up stance for the causes you don't agree with whilst advocating it's "disgusting" if folks don't join in the ones you agree with. I'll let your stereotypical characterisation slide (above) because most sensible people know it's just patently inaccurate, as is your view on the size of the support. Do you think depriving our children and future generations of a safe planet to live on is acceptable? Civil protest is an unalienable right in a democracy. As I said on the thread dedicated to this the law will deal with them. If you want the right to free speech and the ability to draw attention to causes this is the price. The alternative is altogether scarier. You can't pick and choose to defend one protest over another as the only "good" causes. One man's terrorist is another's freedom fighter. |

I’d class “civil” as an organised march or giving out leaflets not glueing yourself to the road preventing working people from earning a living or closing the M25 and stopping people from getting to hospital visits. Of course it’s vital to save the planet but I think for some until they’ve been personally affected like what James Whale then it’s all good. Everyone’s got a story (some tragic) how these characters behaviour has affected them personally I’m sure only when people currently saying “it’s all good” are personally affected then they may change there view. I think rather than gaining support and attention for there protesting they’re currently losing support for what is a very important cause. When you hear the activist who spread faeces all over Captain Toms memorial she almost comes across as brainwashed and unable to offer a real argument Edit I don’t actually think in this circ Wotton repeatadly using the word WOKE helps |

Why don’t they go to the mps streets and block the roads off there instead of pissing normal folk off, I agree with the cause but the way things are atm with the economy people really don’t see past the next pay check. I honestly think as a species our race has nearly run, we’ve fucked up the world and as much as we’d all love to see a change in direction, it won’t happen

"Louise" from yesterday's comical meltdown video was a fine example of that. Apparently she even drives a petrol car herself, bought by her parents - You can't make it up.
