Chelsea appointing a man that lasted 14 games at Serie B Parma and tried his hardest to bottle Leicester breezing to the title by default on a 5-year contract.
Where have all the good coaches gone?

Maresca to Chelsea on a 5 year deal apparently. This seems a very strange appointment for a club the size of Chelsea. His only managerial experience before Leicester was Parma in Serie B where he failed to get them promoted and was sacked. Massive jump from 1 decent season in the Championship managing a team who were expected to get promotion, and they nearly screwed it up too. It was as much a case of Leeds and Soton screwing up than them striding towards victory. Am I missing something here?

When you go through managers at more or less the same rate as Watford, you surely must eventually run out of prime options.

Maresca to Chelsea on a 5 year deal apparently. Basket case club doing basket case things. Fancy swapping Poch for this guy especially after it looked like he'd finally got them gelling.

The word at Chelsea is that Poch wanted out from half way through the season and made that clear to the owners. But yes, he had got them in great form which will be hard for a new boss to replicate.

He’s worked under Pep Guardiola which has become the be all and end all of football management. They’re hoping for another Arteta. It won’t work.

In agreement with this but the way Chelsea are run they want a yes man as a head coach. The way he plays they will struggle as wide open and pep's style there just not built that way. If he's in a job after year one I'll be surprised.

If Maresca goes to Chelsea then Leicester get Coberan I’d say Leicester will have ended up with the better manager.

The Stills leaving Reims.
Haven't won for an age.
Wonder where he'll end up.
The Blues believe Maresca will fit in the club structure, and they were impressed with his prior knowledge of the squad.
Wonder if he went as far as a paul Lambert style PowerPoint.

There are none, or next to none. Perhaps some coaches will be available after the euros (or may have been contacted, but won't say so until the games are over).

the craziest managerial appointment ever, im actually getting sick of players getting big jobs off the back of a decent career, apparently the managerial genius of fat frank will soon be rocking up at Burnley, so all next season we can enjoy lots of championship chat about franks burnley and rooneys plymouth...

How much does it cost Chelsea paying off all that money on their ex managers?
If they ain't close to breaking FFP Rules I don't know why.

I am surprised Steve Copper not being mentioned for any managers jobs looking at those two get those jobs.In Prem or Championship,Must have had a fair pay off from Forest for not looking for work.

Just doesn't make sense does it? Poch had pretty much gone unbeaten since December. Bored football owners with way too much money, probably showing off on some whatsapp account of billionaire owners.

Reported today as not interested in the Burnley job I think that is his problem. He feels he's too good to drop down to the Championship but hasn't built enough of a reputation to attract the interest of most Premier clubs. Potter had a good stint at Brighton before taking on the Chelsea job which is a job no one has succeeded at yet.
