In defence of John Coates (controversial I know) all this proves it’s fucking hard picking a manager.
50% luck 50% judgement.
Completely random calculation but I doubt I’m far off.

McKenna to Man Utd Maresca to Chelsea Kompany to Bayern The world is going mad I’d be amazed if Man Utd appoint McKenna.

It’s a whole lot more difficult if you don’t actually believe in anything other than wanting success and believing the last person you talked to is the key to getting it. There is no common theme, no consistency of thought.

Lunacy. Chelsea had the 3rd best record after Boxing Day Man City 54 Arse 46 Chels 38 Liv 37 Villa 29 Whatever were they thinking. He’d have had them back in the champions league places next season. This game is fucking mentalist.

Rooney to Plymouth 😂 When will people learn?!
He tries to play the standard of football he was accustomed to playing, with players who simply aren’t good enough to play it. It won’t be as bad as Birmingham but they’re going to be down that end of the table and I’l not sure he’s the man you want when you’re down there.
As for McKenna, I hope he stays at Ipswich and gives it a go there, but it seems once one has taken an interest in him, others don’t want him to slip through their net and do well at a rival club.

Plus if he gets on the pasties his fucking heads going to explode. He’s getting into Steve Bruce big fat head territory.

Shortly after reappointing Xavi, Barcelona have now sacked him: www.theguardian.com/football/article/2024/may/24/barcelona-hansi-flick-coach-xaviIt's a return to the days when Barca was the maddest of all mad houses, but it's not unusual in the world of football. It just never happens at Stoke, not yet anyway. It's a little sad, because if the coach and the club had seperated amicably, or at least by mutual consent, you could see Xavi coming back when a few other coaches had failed there. Xavi is after all not just any old coach, but a favourite son, and a link to happier days. There was even talk - just talk of course - that Xavi's presence might bring Messi back during the US midbreak. But now it seems unlikely that Xavi will even want to come back, at least while Laporte runs the club.

Tommy Docherty?....he transformed Man Utd and in his last season they finished 3rd in the top flight and won the FA Cup! But he did actually take them down He had his finger in one too many 'pies', though!

Rooney to Plymouth???? Can’t imagine that will go down well with the pasty lovers Percy’d: My boss is a Janner. He is devastated and thinks (quite rightly!) that Rooney will be a disaster for Plymouth! Whilst I agree and I empathasise; I am probably in the minority when I say that I like my boss and get on well with him. However, from a Stoke's fan POV - I really hope this happens! At least one relegation place will have been filled already. We will only have 2 more places to worry about!!

So who's looking for a manager at the moment?
Based on the links:
Man Utd (McKenna, Poch, De Zerbi, Tuchel?) Chelsea (Maresca, Amorim, McKenna, De Zerbi?) Brighton (Potter, McKenna, Martin?)
Sunderland (Still, Rosenior?) Burnley (Cooper, Still, Bellamy?) Norwich (Thorup, Still?) Hull (Walter?) Plymouth (Rooney?) Birmingham (Neil?)

How do the odds change if your chief advisor is a bloke in your local? Depends on who the bloke is. There are loads of people posting on here who claim to have superior knowledge to all of our previous and current managers.

McKenna to Man Utd Maresca to Chelsea Kompany to Bayern The world is going mad I think it’s odd but who would you expect to go there now? Poch maybe to Man Yoo but then after that what sort of experienced manager is available? Simeone? Inzaghi? Tuchel? (But he seems a bit shit to me) There’s not much out there is there? Curbishley? Seriously what happened to him? Seems to have disappeared years ago after being linked with every job going post Charlton.

I believe Martin Paterson is set to leave Burton Albion. Can only be off to Huddersfield with Duff then Nine consecutive home losses nearly took them down with some of the worst football I’ve seen Burton play. It’ll be a hard job to keep the lager men in league one next year.

To be honest mate I think they’re punching above their weight every year they manage to stay in League One but I’m sure Ben Robinson will give another young manager his chance in the coming weeks

Mckenna to " the shit " would be hilarious amd smacks kf potter to chelsea all over he left because the players felt his sessions were boring and lacked understanding of what's required at the top level as a coach could be a lovley watch go on appoint him and let showtime begin . More worrying would be potch as he might do a decent job .
