No different in terms of where he’s been promoted from but way different in the matter of points with 10 out of 12 so far. Also more wins than Lambert achieved in 3 and a half months in his tenure here🙄 Like I keep saying mate There’s many U23 coaches at clubs just itching for a chance…..see Blackpool etc I totally agree mate and I’m not against that in the right circumstances but I just don’t think this is the right moment for us,some will disagree. I think the whole set up at Burnley helps Jackson with the mentality of players at the club and I’ve noticed Bardsley getting involved also.10 points out of 12 shows it’s working so far although I’m still not convinced they’ll survive

I think he's the opposite of the type they'd go for - but we'll see

From a quick google he looks like he’s only caretaker and was promoted from the u-23 set up to do so. Not like they’ve gone out and signed him as manager. No different to when rooster and Delap too charge after Jones. I never said they'd gone out and signed him. Just said he failed at Tranmere and has turned them around in his sleep - which to me suggests something has gone very wrong at Burnley for Dyche, and that he might not be the silver bullet that many think he is.

All not well behind the scenes?

So how come our own MON isn't on the radar for these promotion hunting Championship clubs?

I wonder why Wilder keeps getting linked with other clubs a matter of months into his new job at Boro? All not well behind the scenes? Go get him? Macari from Birmingham style situation? Why would he want to come to us though? What can we realistically offer him that he hasn’t got, or can’t get at Middlesbrough?

Same argument could have been made re Lou in 1991 If - & it is an if - Wilder is unhappy at Boro for reasons unknown (&his recent reluctance to distance himself from the Burnley job was unusual especially for someone of his experience and no bullshit persona) then it might be a possibility He's spoken well of Stoke before just putting it out there

Gibson and Coates are both good owners. I don’t see a situation where he would leave them for us.

The Stoke job, with these current owners and the current setup, is not for a rookie manager. It needs an O'Neil type to run the club, not just team.
Unless that changes, and let's be honest it never will with our lazy arsed owners, we're sticking with O'Neil.

He took on the responsibility and made a good fist of it before it consumed him. He made quite a few barbed comments about it right before he left.

But he wasn’t/isn’t an autocrat he very much leans on the team of people around him. Bowen certainly had a lot more responsibility than your average assistant.

It's a long shot but the situation last week was handled very oddly by Wilder From what I hear from SUFC Wilder is great as long as he has things 100% his own way, the minute someone challenges his judgement (players or club) its a major blowout and the wheels can soon come off.
